This is the first time since 1936 -- eighty years ago -- that Orange County, California has gone Democratic in a Presidential election.

I have lived in the OC for fifty-eight years and I can tell you that it's not the overwhelmingly conservative bastion that the vainglorious Left claims it to be.

No longer matters in a Blue State... and the old conservative electorate has either died out or left the state.

Big deal, Hillary flipping a red county in California is like fluffing the pillows on the Titanic.

I wish these clowns would be a little more honest and bounce their welfare rolls off of their voter rolls. I’ll bet the welfare rolls increased right along with the ‘RAT voter rolls.

You’re right. More than a few Clinton/Kaine signs out in my North O.C. neighborhood (very unusual) and on election day I was the only one wearing red at my voting location (though some people may have wanted to downplay that to avoid confrontation).

Reagan won OC by 500,000 votes. Times have changed; Calfornia now has, what 14 congressmen out of 53?!! Hillary wins the State by at least 3 million, giving her far more than the popular vote “margin” the press is howling about. The Reps don’t even have a candidate in the Senate race; the state elected some leftist loon named Kamala Harris. Like another country.

I was born in Orange County in 1957. I’ve lived here my whole life except for two years in Long Beach right after I got out of college. It has not been overwhelming only conservative for a long time, but I think unless something drastic happens you’ll see the OC go red into 2020.

I’ve been here 50 years and watched as Orange County was immigrated out of being a conservative bastion.

We got rid of the aerospace industry and its conservative people and replaced them with a tidal wave of immigrants from the 3rd world who like to vote left. All with the blessing of the dopes who run the GOP. Good job, open borders lobby.

I thought OC was very conservative. Maybe that was true some time ago, but isn’t so anymore. Too bad.

I moved from OC in 1980 and soon thereafter friends told how it was changing. A lot of Iranians ended up there then, and I imagine the influx from the South made a profound change.

I remember driving down I5 to SD and you would inevitably see Border Patrol returning some illegals. Doubt they’ve been able to do that for quite some time now.

Similar story in traditionally red areas of Fairfield County, CT and the Farmington Valley near Hartford, CT. They flipped to blue. No illegal immigration in those locals. What we have to consider is that many of the GOPe in deep blue states voted for Hillary. Anecdotally I know of many instances of this. However, I believe that Trump will win back these quislings.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time
The world was sweeter than we knew
Everything was ours
How happy we were then
But somehow once upon a time
Never comes again

Wow! I lived there from 1962 until 2001. I was a poll worker my last few years there. I would betcha that the numbers are off about 5% when we see the results. I wrote on a ballot box “ Something is amiss here” when I dropped it off at the fire station. I refused to count it the fifth time.
