Donald Trump managed to flip some traditionally blue counties in other states but lost in Orange County, a historically conservative stronghold that’s turning bluer.
Hillary Clinton snagged 401,577 votes countywide (49 percent), compared to Trump’s 361,121 (44 percent), according to results posted Friday morning. Third-party candidates Gary Johnson, Jill Stein and Gloria Estela combined got 43,293 votes (4 percent).
Roughly a third of Orange County ballots remain uncounted, and final results likely are weeks away ...

I have lived in the OC for fifty-eight years and I can tell you that it's not the overwhelmingly conservative bastion that the vainglorious Left claims it to be.
What’s happening there? Illegals?
No longer matters in a Blue State... and the old conservative electorate has either died out or left the state.

More Dems/mexicans moving in. Outer OC except for Newport Beach etc are done for. But I prefer to read OC papers over the LAT.
I wish these clowns would be a little more honest and bounce their welfare rolls off of their voter rolls. I’ll bet the welfare rolls increased right along with the ‘RAT voter rolls.

You’re right. More than a few Clinton/Kaine signs out in my North O.C. neighborhood (very unusual) and on election day I was the only one wearing red at my voting location (though some people may have wanted to downplay that to avoid confrontation).
Reagan won OC by 500,000 votes. Times have changed; Calfornia now has, what 14 congressmen out of 53?!! Hillary wins the State by at least 3 million, giving her far more than the popular vote “margin” the press is howling about. The Reps don’t even have a candidate in the Senate race; the state elected some leftist loon named Kamala Harris. Like another country.
I was born in Orange County in 1957. I’ve lived here my whole life except for two years in Long Beach right after I got out of college. It has not been overwhelming only conservative for a long time, but I think unless something drastic happens you’ll see the OC go red into 2020.
Certain parts of the OC are full of illegals, Santa Ana, Long Beach..Anaheim, you go there and you hear is Spanish..if people want to see the most Conservative area in CA its Ventura County..Simi Valley where the Reagan library is located, Camarillo, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks..you see more blue collar people over there..I remember in 2008 going to visit my cousin who lives in Simi, we saw a HUGE McCain/Palin sign on the onramp to the 118 freeway
I’ve been here 50 years and watched as Orange County was immigrated out of being a conservative bastion.
We got rid of the aerospace industry and its conservative people and replaced them with a tidal wave of immigrants from the 3rd world who like to vote left. All with the blessing of the dopes who run the GOP. Good job, open borders lobby.
Of here too I see that two and Anaheim seems like the cair and mosque capital of the county
I thought OC was very conservative. Maybe that was true some time ago, but isn’t so anymore. Too bad.
Legals, but you have the right idea.
I moved from OC in 1980 and soon thereafter friends told how it was changing. A lot of Iranians ended up there then, and I imagine the influx from the South made a profound change.
I remember driving down I5 to SD and you would inevitably see Border Patrol returning some illegals. Doubt they’ve been able to do that for quite some time now.
