Clinton or Trump? Here's how every neighborhood in O.C. voted (Orange County, California)
Orange County Register ^ | November 12, 2016 | Ian Wheeler, Lily Leung and Jeff Goertzen

Donald Trump managed to flip some traditionally blue counties in other states but lost in Orange County, a historically conservative stronghold that’s turning bluer.

Hillary Clinton snagged 401,577 votes countywide (49 percent), compared to Trump’s 361,121 (44 percent), according to results posted Friday morning. Third-party candidates Gary Johnson, Jill Stein and Gloria Estela combined got 43,293 votes (4 percent).

Roughly a third of Orange County ballots remain uncounted, and final results likely are weeks away ...

I think if Trump gets a big part of his economic agenda passed immediately, there could be fruit visible so that WI, MI, PA will be actually SAFE GOP, and even a state like MN and NH will flip.

Same can be said for the OC.

Then if the economic recovery in the Rust Belt takes hold, It could be safe GOP for 2024 with another candidate, whoever that might be.

CAIR has its Los Angeles headquarters on the west side of Anaheim. There’s a neighborhood near there known as ‘little Gaza’ or ‘little Arabia’. A big mosque is on the east side of the city.

I figure at some point it will be Islam duking it out with La Raza for political power in north Orange County. We may need a passport to get to Disneyland.

What’s happening there? Illegals?

That plus UC Irvine.

Pelham, help me understand that map: is my old neighborhood really blue?? I suppose nobody on my street / subdivision voted for Trump since so many were some kind of middle eastern Muslim. But I didn’t think Anaheim Hills would be solid blue, if I am reading that right.

Similar story in traditionally red areas of Fairfield County, CT and the Farmington Valley near Hartford, CT. They flipped to blue. No illegal immigration in those locals. What we have to consider is that many of the GOPe in deep blue states voted for Hillary. Anecdotally I know of many instances of this. However, I believe that Trump will win back these quislings.

It’s a bit hard to tell from the map but I think that the blue sector that you are seeing at the east end of the 91 is the wild land beyond the 241 rather than your old ‘hood.

The Register writers have correctly guessed that the coyotes and vultures there voted for Hillary.

If this is true, she didn't win the popular vote either

We will probably never read the truth in the MSM if it is true.

I have lived in the OC for fifty-eight years and I can tell you that it's not the overwhelmingly conservative bastion that the vainglorious Left claims it to be.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time
The world was sweeter than we knew
Everything was ours
How happy we were then
But somehow once upon a time
Never comes again

Wow! I lived there from 1962 until 2001. I was a poll worker my last few years there. I would betcha that the numbers are off about 5% when we see the results. I wrote on a ballot box “ Something is amiss here” when I dropped it off at the fire station. I refused to count it the fifth time.

According to the map most of Irvine went to Clinton. Interesting because Irvine is largely conservative and the Republicans hold a 4-1 majority on the city council.

Time to move.

I’ve lived in Westminster for 30 years. It’s no longer the Patriotic city it was when I bought my house.

I have been searching for that U.S County map everywhere. I had seen it prior, but upon searching, I could not find it.

Thank you ever so much!

I live in Laguna Niguel, South County.

Nothing in the story about here but I assume most of us are Trumpsters.

The only Barometer I have is that I’ve been driving around here with my TRUMP 45 Vanity License Plates for over four Months and nobody has Keyed my Car, yet.

My Wife thinks that the likelihood of that happening has gone up after Trump’s victory. We’ll find out one way or the other.

I think I saw your plates on the 73 in September. Yellow on black plates. Small world. I’m in Dana Point.

Amazing that Laguna Beach is still blue.
