The relationship between Donald Trump and the news media is as acrimonious as ever following his victory in Tuesdays presidential election.
Members of the press complain that Trump isn't adequately informing the media about his decisions as president-elect, calling it a violation of practices meant to ensure access to and transparency around the leader of the free world.
The tensions come after a bitter campaign, in which Trump used the press as a foil.
The Republican nominee frequently lambasted the news media as dishonest during his rallies, and crowds would chant slogans such as CNN sucks and hurl invective at members of his traveling press corps. Trump continued the theme late Thursday night, when he took to Twitter to blame the media for fueling nationwide protests against his election as president. He walked back his comment in a subsequent tweet.
Here are some of the points of contention:
Press Pool
Trump did not allow reporters to travel with him to Washington on Thursday for meetings with President Obama and leaders in Congress.
His team never allowed a so-called pool of reporters and photographers to travel on his plane during the campaign.
Every modern president and president-elect has traveled with a pool, but news organizations have thus far failed to convince Trumps advisers to immediately adopt the practice.
The White House, and not Trumps team, made arrangements to have a pool of journalists cover the president-elects meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office.

typical liberal no foresight actions have consequences may they go bankrupt
POUND SAND MSM!!!
We would like to see that video.
Tell the Press..........”Lick it UP!!”
Trump has more important things to do than to babysit a bunch of cry-baby reporters!
Canadian CBC are saying Trump will deport American Muslims ,the Media are going for broke
It’s a “violation” of nothing. Who the hell are they? Hillary treated them like that little dog she staged a photo with.
Good for Trump.
Make them eat $hit.
He can release information directly to the people thru his website and the Drudge Report. Make the commie media starve.
They sound mystified???
Pray America woke
Why give them anything.... screw the press.
Who is this “Press” the headline speaks of?
Is it referring to the group of biased individuals attempting to pass themselves off as journalists that was thoroughly discredited by the 2016 presidential election?
Go Trump!
The media have totally discredited themselves during this election (but also the 08 and 12 elections as well), Trump shouldn’t let them up easy. He should continue to call them out for their rabid dishonesty. I watched CNN for a while last night, and they haven’t learned a lesson at all, all their coverage of the anti-Trump riots was essentially justifying them, and blaming Trump and his supporters for the riots and violence. From what I’ve seen of the print media’s coverage, they are doing the same thing.
It looks like the next 4 or 8 years will be just a continuation of the media madness that we’ve seen over the last year, and it wouldn’t surprise me any if they even ratchet up the negativity and attacks.
The media see Trump’s victory as a personal defeat for them, and they are going to be in full-scale attack mode, not only attacking Trump but attacking those who voted for him.
:: Press Pool ::
These presstitutes ^just don’t get it!^
I would use a carrot & stick approach:
if a member of the pool reports a news item inaccurately - or with a partisan slant - they are OUT of the pool. Period.
Simply put, when individual pool members start acting like journalists - and not as members of the opposition party, they can be admitted to the pool.
And when they bitch & whine, they should be informed that being a member of the pool is a privilege - don’t abuse it don’t be a partisan hack.
Press worries over the American People
when you have twitter, who needs the press...
I think by now even the liberals realize that the media are corrupt.
