Hillary Clinton acknowledged on a call with her campaign staff and volunteers on Friday that her election loss had taken an emotional toll. But she encouraged those listening to stay engaged in the political process once the despair of Tuesday passed.
Im not going to sugarcoat it: These have been very, very tough days, Clinton said. This is a tough time for our country. I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election and I know we have got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did is so important. It looks like we are on the path to winning the popular vote, and that says volumes about the importance of your work and the lasting impact it will have.
Clintons comments are the first shes offered since her concession speech to Donald Trump on Wednesday morning. Then and now, she kept a calm demeanor, not casting blame for the outcome but instead encouraging those listening to move forward constructively. Fridays call, which The Huffington Post was able to dial into, lasted roughly 15 minutes, interrupted for a few minutes by a tech snafu.
Clinton thanked her backers for the work they put in, calling the campaign one of the greatest honors of my life. And she encouraged them to remain politically engaged in the future.

The MSM will find all kinds of outlets for her.
I don’t know. Her health issues are still smoldering inside her.
They have not been at all tough for me.
Translation: "I'M MELTING!!!"
“I think we have seen how people have been reacting...”
Yep. Duly noted. Rioting, burning, blocking traffic, preventing law abiding, taxpaying LEGAL citizens from getting to work on time...
But they are right about one thing: Trump is not THEIR president.
Particularly when you can no longer get six figure sums for speeches and can’t sell influence anymore.
They’ll be bankrupt in ten years.
It hasn’t been tough enough, since you’re still breathing, you despicable, lying, disingenuous, self-serving, treasonous, criminal, old bitch.
Yep, going to be a different chapter in your life Hillary. No more raping the taxpayers for your income.
Hitlery look what’s that over there....PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!!LOL!!
Excuse me.......I’m really sitting here trying to care. Bear with me.........well that was a waste of time......;
I thought Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty had a tough day but she says she had several tough days.
But the queen has secret service. How noble of her.
I’ve been eating, drinking and making merry!
avoiding the TeeVee Noos doesnt hurt either!
She’ll be on her way to hospice if not dead already by 2020.
Hillary did NOT win the popular vote. Current estimates are that two million illegals cast votes and should there be an actual nationwide audit, I have no doubt that number will rise.
Sure, they know, but many of their low information, unintelligent supporters don’t, so they buy into the bs.
How could anyone prosecute this senior citizen, grandmother of two, who has suffered the loss if a lifetime dream and sacrificed so much for so many. Endured the embarrassment of her husband’s infidelities and now all she wants to do is walk in the woods, a solitary woman with her loyal puppy at her side. (Not Huma, a real dog) LEAVE HILLARY ALONE!
Who wrote those comments for her?
[I have dreaded this woman since 1992. I am sucking the sweet marrow of this victory and I dont expect that to stop any time soon.]
It sure is a great feeling that this former (maybe current) hippy is now going to be just a footnote in history. For umpteen years, (1992 to now) she has been given a pass every time she messes up. Now, since she will be on the outside looking in with her bitterness you are right....every thing we eat and drink has taken on the best possible flavor.
