California voters approved a ballot measure Tuesday that bans the possession of large-capacity magazines, requires the California Department of Justice to maintain a list of all residents authorized to purchase ammunition and prohibits Californians from purchasing ammo without first obtaining the agencys authorization.

One implemented, the ballot measure will ban the possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines, regardless of when they were purchased. Current California law already bans the possession of such magazine but has an exemption for magazines purchased before the year 2000.
Prop. 63 will also require all ammo purchasers to first obtain a $50 permit from the California DOJ. The state government will now be required to keep tabs on who is or isnt authorized to purchase ammunition.

I was referring to stopping California subjects from driving in out of state purchases. No way they will spend the resources to stop it. Ammo runs will become a way of life for patriots.
Just one, skilfully applied.
I’ve said for a long time that this type of law could be eliminated within a month. All it would take is for ALL firearm AND ammo manufacturers to simply refuse to sell ANY of their products to any state governmental agency in the state. And enforce it in their third party contracts so other suppliers could not contractually sell to any state governmental agency. No mfg support, repair for any products for ANY state governmental agency.
No police dept in the state would be able to purchase any weapons or ammo. No state game/wildflife or other agency could without going to some blackmarket route, which would then be illegal for them to do.
Wouldn’t take any time at all. But the mfgr’s will whine that gov’t purchases are a big part of their sales. Bigger than all the civilian sales that will be lost?
Barrett had the right idea. Too bad none of the others will follow suit and stand on principal instead of sale$.
thank you for info.
Legally, no.
Do you know the case/citation for that? Im going to want to carry a copy with me going to and from the ranch.
CA LEOs photo tags at places like cabelas over in NV for that.
And these same welfare loving, gun hating retards want to secede from the USA? I can’t wait to see the results if that happened.
The state would turn into another Afghanistan.
Patently unconstitutional under the interstate commerce laws. . . Are they going to institute border guards and searches? Customs stations? I've heard that is exactly what these bozos are planning to prevent contraband being brought into California!
I went through one up on the north end once and when they asked what I had I told the girl “just coolers full of baby alligators and kudzu” and she said “huh?” And waved me through.
No I don’t, but it was a big topic about 10-15 yrs ago.
I’ll look tonight when I get home......
I live in another state but still spend winters out there. Guess I will just practice selective hearing.
So you can’t get a permit if you are not a resident and you can’t bring it in. Typical stupid California.
There are probably quite a few gun owners who continue to vote yes on their bond issues and stuff like MJ legalization. As a block we need to vote no on everything until the doucheocracy quits screwing us.
Also, you need to find out how the businesses you patronize vote on stuff like this and quit patronizing them.
On that we agree. Be sure not to comply with "laws" which violate your rights.
“I often drive through the inspection stations, and they usually wave you through without even talking to you. And if they do stop you, they ask if you have any fruit, they dont search for it. So, again, completely unenforceable. They will not be searching any vehicles for ammo. That is not the point of the law.”
Probabaly true, but these inspection stations do offer the possibility. And I too go through them wondering why they are even there!
There was a Soros story which I dismissed as internet imagination; that Russia issued an arrest warrant for George Soros.
Anyone else see this?
It would certainly be unfortunate if Soros was captured by Russians.
Yes it is true. Saw a article last week on it.
