This is too sweet to savor alone. Take a gander over to the answers on the crashed homepage of DU.

Wow. And some of these are adult aged...

What if I actually DO have the Spirit here? And you just don’t like its garb?

Relieved that the Sword of Damocles AKA PIAPS, is no longer hanging over our heads.

Vote fraud and what would happen to the Supreme Court were really eating at me.

From one of the posters - “ fb family and friends know I lost my daughter. I do not believe that there is a loss that life can hand a human worse than the loss of a child. Now I’m going to compare losing Bekah with losing the presidential election. No it’s not the body blow that her death was; but it’s bad, it’s epically, tragically bad, and not just for me, but for the country and probably the world. “”

My husband’s response when I read this to him - “Some people do not deserve to have children”

I did a nine day novena leading up to the election. I fasted on Election Day and was thrilled and awestruck that evening. Hillary’s tears tasted sweet. I felt hope for my grandson that he will inherit a strong America.

But now my daughter has told me she’s ashamed of me for my vote. She unfriended me on Facebook and, instead of a birthday gift for my husband she made a donation to Planned Parenthood in his name. She is livid; I am heartbroken.

We must continue to pray for President Trump and this country. The only way he can heal this breach is with success and prosperity and goodness.

Me? I am elated and relieved. I have a 13 month old (late and very much surprise baby) and now have hope for her future.

Then again, I have loved and respected Trump since I was a teenager in the 80s

I don’t give a rats how they feel...let ‘em choke on their illogical emotions.

I feel pretty freaking charged and look for a promising future for the country and everyone else.

I don't care how they feel.
I am feeling very uneasy.
We Americans are not doing enough to stop these hired mobs.
We lack organization.
We will just let Trump lone wolf in the white house and then blame him when he can't fulfill his promises.
That, is my biggest fear now.

For almost 8 years I despaired for my country. The thought of Hillary Clinton taking American into the abyss was terrible to contemplate, but I also knew I would never abandon my country; and I resolved to keep on fighting, even if that meant that I would be deemed an “enemy of the state” by the despots who would control the government.

I will never give up on America; I love her too deeply (and loving one’s country does NOT equate to loving one’s country’s government: As Jefferson so eloquently put it, sometimes a country must throw off its government if that government no longer serves the country’s interests).

If it took my bones to fertilize America’s continued existence as “mankind’s best, last hope,” then that is a price I would gladly pay.

I’ll be candid: Early Wednesday morning, when it was announced that Trump would be our 45th president, I looked heavenward, thanked God, and wept. And my resolve got a shot of steroids.

Oh, America.

“OBAMA WILL BECOME A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER AGAIN AND DO IT ON A NATIONAL LEVEL AND CAUSE RIOTS IN THE CITIES”

“My thoughts exactly:

He’ll consolidate power at a national level from BLM, NoIthe Rainbow Coalition and other fringe groups.

He’ll push Jesse Jacka$$ Al Shrpton And Calypso Louie to the side and lead a Soros funded national shit stirring effort for the next four years.

Every intel analyst I know recognizes that this is the most dangerous ex president we have EVER had.

You will be far more alarmed of what you learn about Barry Soetoro in the NEXT 8 years than you have been in the past 8.

RLTW”

Upbeat5 reply: Obama has already set up a non-profit with Holder for the purpose of restructuring voting districts at the state level. I’m sure the money that the Clinton Foundation had coming in will now come to Obama’s non-profit.

You are asking how we are feeling, a question which sounds rather unlike something our side would get into, but what do I know? The election of a president is only a means to an end. So of course, little yet has been accomplished toward an important end, but honestly, I am feeling more hopeful than I have in many years.

Hopeful?

The Russians, Turks, Ukrainians, and especially the Israelis think that Hillary’s world war has been averted. Now you understand, it could still happen considering the geopolitical forces that are driving us to the brink, and considering the left has NEVER accepted the result of any election that went against their agenda. At least the immediate trigger of Hillary enforcing a no fly zone in Syria is now less likely. General Breedlove, NATO SACEUR, was replaced months ago, thank the Lord. That guy was gonna get us all killed.

Mitch McConnell is to be thanked for stopping Obama’s SCOTUS appointment. If he helps now to give us another Scalia, which is likely, we can rejoice, but again this is only a means to an end. The left has never accepted a law when they could overturn it in the courts. Typically, then the Republicans, like NC’s Gov. Pat McCrory, declare the issue settled and surrender. What really matters is the practical effect of a law or regulation that is enforced on us, and there are no changes on that yet.

Fearful?

EPA is hurrying to put in as many regulations as possible before inauguration. They know that once in place they will not ever be repealed. Not just EPA but all of the executive branch regulations work that way. There is so much, and every attempted rollback is met with effective resistance. I can envision some symbolic moves maybe.

Soros, his paid protestors, Academia, Media, and especially Labor all now have a single enemy and they will not rest till they destroy him. While our side will focus on competing with each other to control or influence his agenda. When he does something that either gives the humiliated RINOs a foothold against him, or when he does something (God forbid) that is singularly UN-conservative then our side will divide again.

The currency collapse is still on schedule. This could end the country as we know it.

The “Welfare State” collapse is still on. We still run out of other peoples’ money for all the give-aways even if somehow we can avoid the banking collapse. Maybe you can succeed in repealing Obamacare, but that alone will not be enough. There will be a real fight with RINO’s and the left over everything, even insignificant reductions in the rate of increases in the entitlements. This also ends the republic as we know it. In fact the violence may already have started.

Thankful?

The people who are involved in this are great. We have never seen anything like this before! Thank God for Jim Robinson and the freepers, who are my heroes, all of you. I am learning so much from you. Y’know, I am going to go right now to the contribution link!

Dear FRiend,

The title doesn’t come from me, but from what’s currently up on the DU website. I know there’s a prohibition against posting links directly to that site because of problems in the past.

I would never ask such a vanity, though I believe others genuinely thought I may have. No fault of their own.

See here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/503.php?com=latest_threads

I enjoyed your well considered post.
