A petition on Change.org calling for the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton as President has earned over half of the signatures needed for it to be sent to the governing body.
The petition, launched on Wednesday after Donald Trump was elected President, calls for the Electoral College to ignore their states votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton.
Although Trump won over the 270 necessary electoral votes to secure the Presidency, Clinton narrowly earned the nations popular vote.
The Electoral College which was first introduced in 1804 is comprised of 538 electors. Each states number of electors is decided by its number of members in Congress, which is dependent on the states population. So, when American citizens cast their ballots, they arent directly voting for president theyre voting for electors. This year, Trump took 279, to Clintons 228.

I'd bet a HIGH percentage of them are HOMOs; so the 'breeding' fear becomes moot.
First rule of toddler discipline. Give in to a temper tantrum and you encourage temper tantrums.
It should but with the corruption we have seen from the left, it’s no surprise.
If they want to claim the popular vote, my opinion is that there needs to be a COMPLETE nationwide, state by state count of EVERY vote cast, excluding the voter fraud ones.
All the mail in’s need to be validated, dead people vote needs to be removed, people who are not registered or are not state residents, etc.
They are asking the electors to betray their states and the Constitution and everything a representative republic stands for to give them their way.
The response of the electoral college ought to be that this is the way it’s set up and precedent has been set in previous elections and they will not change it for mob mentality temper tantrums.
Are there actual physical signatures or online *signatures*?
Sorry folks the election’s over you lost.
I just ordered more bulk ammo, myself. 1600 rounds of various calibers.
Hmmm... That number 1600 rings a bell... Isn’t that where Trump will live for the next few years?
What about all the other 20+ statewide and local races where all votes matter? Why would they suffer just because of a Presidential race?
It also doesn't make logical sense to count some levels of absentee votes, but for some weird reason say "but don't count the ones for President since it won't make a difference."
By law, all votes are counted, period. The only exception is absentee votes POSTMARKED after election day.
“Are there actual physical signatures or online *signatures*?”
Thank you I was thinking the same thing.
Or maybe it was Terry McAuliffe’s autosignature machine working overtime.
They’re hard at work trying to kill the electoral college without an amendment.

Online petitions are WORTHLESS!
We’ve known this for YEARS!
But while,
The U.S. Supreme Court has held that the Constitution does not require that Electors be completely free to act as they choose
Yet,
The Supreme Court has not specifically ruled on the question of whether pledges and penalties for failure to vote as pledged may be enforced under the Constitution. No Elector has ever been prosecuted for failing to vote as pledged.
And with a Supreme Court that can legalize homosexual marriage and the ACA, then there is not certainty that they would not uphold the freedom of so-called "faithless Electors."
This petition strikes me as a great place to start looking for The Deportables. Also the voter registration roles. Deportables who want to exercise their rights as citizens need to return to the country where such activity is appropriate.
Hell, they are STIIL trying to find votes in Detroit.
I’d much rather have won the pop vote (and take out the fraud and we did for certain) but I like how mad this makes them.
And I love how they think that they can get 38 hardcore Republicans to vote for Clinton in defiance of the voters of their states.
I’m gonna start a petition to ask George Soros to give me all his money cause I’m asking nicely, think he’ll go for it?
