President Obama has described Donald Trump as ignorant, dangerous and unfit to lead the nation, but he’ll ask the Republican president-elect Thursday not to wipe out his cherished, legacy-making executive actions on everything from the Iranian nuclear deal to Obamacare.
In a meeting at the White House to prepare Mr. Trump for taking office, Mr. Obama will try to persuade the president-elect to honor what his aides call a “tradition” of preserving executive actions implemented by the departing chief executive.

Trump said he was going to roll back all the evil executive orders on Day One, and he will. Take that to the bank. Whether there is any “tradition” of not doing that, or whether this is an outright lie, Trump never takes the easy way, and he won’t back down. He’s not a politician but a fighter. Praise God!

I suppose Trump can issue an EO listing prior EO’s to be cancelled? If they had to be cancelled and signed individually, I’d think the friction of the pen on paper would vaporize the pen, or at least melt the tip. In any event, the EO’s axed have to be specified, as many of the total are, as has been pointed out, relatively routine administrative matters, and chaos would result if all were nixed simultaneously.
IMO, just can the 1st 20 or so of the most onerous, the 1st day, with a commitment of 20 a week minimum, thereafter, until all have been reviewed. With lead-in / planning during the transition, the actual administration of that should be possible...

Dont’ worry Barry, President Trump won’t treat your Executive Orders any differently than you treated your predecessors.
Just to show their are no hard feelings, President Trump needs to start by cancelling John F. Kennedys Executive Order 10988 of January 17, 1962 that allowed government employees to unionize and engage in collective bargaining.
Even FDR recognized the insanity of unions for people who were payed with taxpayer’s dollars because it allowed them to negotiate with themselves at the expense of the citizens.
Cancelling EO 10988 will shut down the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and others who are primary sources of campaign contributions for the Democrat party.
obama, the only pieces of papers that you sign that can’t be legally torn up by President Trump are Congressional legislation and all the pardons you’re planning on handing out to crooked Hillary and her crooked minions.
Oh, obama, we ELECTED Trump BECAUSE he promised to tear up all those OTHER papers you signed, like those fake “treaties” here and there that were never ratified by a 2/3 vote of the Senate, and like all of those EOs ordering ICE to stand down and let illegal aliens pour into our county without the required checks for 3rd world diseases, and like the EOs establishing Syrian Muslim colonies in small communities throughout the U.S.

Why would he pander to get votes? Do you think he would to get a job that pays $450,000 a year?
He doesn’t need this job. He has exposed himself to character (and real, for that matter) assassination. Give him some credit. He’s not in this for any reasons than the ones he’s expressed; to represent us, the American people.
Trump ought to FIRE every damned body occupying space in Executive Branch offices and have the place fumigated and cleared from listening devices. The only people he should meet walking in to the WH on 20 Jan 2017 should be his Secret Service Detail.
