Obama will ask Trump to keep executive orders in place

President Obama has described Donald Trump as ignorant, dangerous and unfit to lead the nation, but he’ll ask the Republican president-elect Thursday not to wipe out his cherished, legacy-making executive actions on everything from the Iranian nuclear deal to Obamacare.

In a meeting at the White House to prepare Mr. Trump for taking office, Mr. Obama will try to persuade the president-elect to honor what his aides call a “tradition” of preserving executive actions implemented by the departing chief executive.

“There is a tradition, particularly with regard to executive agreements of successive presidents preserving some element of continuity,” said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. “I don’t know whether or not that will apply in this case. But as a part of this effective, smooth transition, President Obama

No, those speeches were phony as hell...

After listening to Hillary’s and Obama’s speeches yesterday I am more worried about Trump than ever. They were way to nice and conciliatory. I believe Trump is in very grave danger and fear he won’t even make it to the presidency. I’m sorry to say that but those speeches were polar opposite of both their personalities. Something is very wrong.

Trump could always just lie to Barky. Say, sure I’ll keep the Executive orders in place, and then just do the opposite when he gets in the White House.

Obama is a narcissist. He has constructed a fantasy of his greatness through his extra constitutional executive orders. He is grasping at straws as he tries to preserve his record of “greatness.” Obama no longer has leverage and is negotiating from a position of weakness.

These next two months should really give us ‘The Incredible Shrinking President.”

I’m sure he will and we’ll ask him to follow through and erase every single last one of them.

What a jackass that Kenyan is. Trump was elected to do just that, reverse those diktats, among other things. And tradition? Tell me more how trying to fundamentally transform America kept with American traditions.

Who was it that said that elections have consequences?

Or, “We won”?

Reminds me of the scene in Walking Tall, where the hero just got elected sheriff, and the old, crooked sheriff presents his men and says that it’s a tradition that the new sheriff keep on the outgoing sheriff’s best men, and hero guy abruptly says, “you’re all fired.”

The Iran nuclear deal is the first EO that Trump should nix. Trump is under no obligation to maintain EOs that threaten national security.

Only an utter lunatic could think that it is a good idea for Iran to have nuclear weapons.

If Trump caves to Obama on Executive Orders, Trump will have the shortest honeymoon with his supporters of any leader in history.

Excessive & unjustified use of EO’s by Mr. Obama are a big part of the reason that he’s pleading with a President-elect Trump and not patting the back of a President-elect Hillary.

This is just Obama messing with Trump’s head — or trying to. It’s like a kindergartener attempting to snow his teacher, and will be just about as effective.
