Rush is right: our enemies will lose no time opposing everything Trump does. His judicial nominees, his requested legislation, etc. However, there will be NO EXCUSE for Congress not to support him. We have the presidency and both houses, and it’s time to accomplish some good for our country without paying any attention to the liberals. Or to the GOPe.

I agree except to say that no one could have gotten the Rust Belt except Trump. He had a natural sympathy for them, probably born of years on construction sites, which was evident to all Americans.

Trump loves confrontation. He uses confrontation to school people on the inside game (eg lobbyists who booed Trump during the early primary debates).

The one name that I have not heard mentioned at all in the past 12 hours is Ted Cruz.

Cruz is silent. He's made no congratulatory message towards Trump, no pundit is talking about him, and he hasn't been sought out for comment.

I heard his name mentioned by someone last evening, in that Cruz should just keep a low profile, and get Trump’s agenda done in the US Senate. Can’t remember who it was... some GOPe hack.

I just googled Ted Cruz and see that he did make a brief statement. Politico reported on it, but otherwise it seems like Cruz is persona non grata at the Trump victory table.

He seems quite elated to me but he’s so right about the Trojan horses. Trump cannot do any of those W things - reaching across aisles, etc. He can do lip service but NO jobs to anyone who will hurt his campaign promises. This would be suicide.

He's not mad; he's charged up. Delighted with Trump's victory and giving a brilliant analysis of the loser liberals, incompetent pollsters, and how Americans elected Trump because so many of us were pleased to hear a candidate who loves and believes in America as originally created.
