At a campaign rally in Novi, Michigan Friday evening, Donald Trump asked President Barack Obama not to "pardon Clinton and her co-conspirators" if any charges were filed related to the email scandal.
"Mr. President," Trump said. "Will you pledge not to issue a pardon to Hillary Clinton and her co-conspirators for their many crimes against our country, and against society itself. No one is above the law."

And speaking of checks, I expect the pardon is a slam dunk, pending the outcome of negotiations regarding the dollar amount of the check to be issued by the Clinton Foundation payable to the Obama Foundation.
There are no constitutional restrictions on the power of the pardon. It can be issued by the President to any person for any reason. Charges and or conviction is irrelevant.
She would avoid punishment. She still should be investigated and her crimes exposed.

Because if they are not guilty than why would there be a need for a pardon?

Perhaps it is time for a constitutional amendment that limits the pardon power to only those who have been convicted.
