10:00am Election Day Ground Reports – What’s Going On….
The Conservative Tree House ^ | Nov 8, 2016 | sundance

One of the best ways to identify what’s going on in any area is a ground report from the people most familiar with it, that’s YOU. If you are voting today perhaps you would consider sharing a ground report from your town, city, neighborhood or voting precinct.

How’s the turnout? Any issues or concerns? What’s the overall climate amid your voting locales. Please feel free to share your personal perspectives in the comment section along with any links to any information you feel might be valuable or interesting. ...

I live in a very conservative area of Oakland County, Michigan and I have never experienced the long lines I encountered today. Waited nearly an hour at 10am.

Please let the Mitten State go for Trump!

Just voted in Tallahassee. Took about 15 minutes once i got in line. Paper ballot. Easy to fill out.

My concern.

Was given an envelope to place the ballot in. Had to print my name, write the date and then sign the envelope.

So much for the notion of a secret ballot. Might help to
Stem fraud, but this opens the door for all kinds of abuse.

Ballots are being carried off site to be counted. Who knows if it will be run through the ocr reader or not.

I have very mixed feelings about this.

Bizarre experience in NW Cook County, Illinois.

Went to vote and there were a lot of cars but didn’t have to wait long to get my paper ballot.

There was a guy ahead of me who didn’t want to follow the rules, and was extremely vocal about it.

They don’t ask for your name — they ask for your address instead. He absolutely refused to give them his address, and insisted on only giving them his name. They repeatedly asked for his address, but he wouldn’t comply and repeatedly answered with only his name.

Finally, he insisted on speaking to whoever was in charge of the polling place. Funny enough, they didn’t really know who was in charge. He got louder and louder; he wasn’t arguing with them quietly.

Finally they found a name and gave it to him. When they asked if he wanted the person-in-charge’s phone number, too, he said no. (Then what was the point?)

Since he refused to follow the proper procedure, I concluded that he either:
1) was trying to cheat and vote in someone else’s name whose address he didn’t know, or
2) was trying to cause a fuss and somehow get the people at the polling place in trouble.

Big turnout at my precinct.

I saw some Rotten Cankles voter, but did not make an estimate of percentages.

No line when I arrived, but the poll worker said it had been busy. By the time I completed my ballot, there was quite a long line.

Update from South Orange County at 12:00PST:

Thought I'd go see what the turn out was some blocks away at our voting place. Just WOW! The parking lot was packed and cars lined the streets around it. They had to have a traffic control lady. I've never in 20 years seen such activity at that Elementary School voting place...not even close.

Sorry, didn't see any Trump or Clinton bumper stickers, but then I didn't have a chance to look just trying to get out of the traffic jam. Remember, So. OC is a conservative bastion within socialist Cali. So glad I did a mail-in.

"...she’s in deep trouble"

That's the first time today I've just busted out laughing.

I'm so looking forward to seeing the look on her face tonite, I just hope it's a little bit later so Mrs. Sooner can enjoy it in real time with me after she gets home from teaching.

Do you know how to look up the election number for other florida counties? According to the bar chart you posted, this is electionId=383 for pinellas county, but what would this electionId be for Orange county, or Broward county?

I know no one cares much about New Jersey, but I voted at 930am in northern NJ, and in my town, I have never in 35 years seen the amount of people voting as I saw today. Waited about 15 minutes after signing in. NEVER happens. Praying for Trump and the country today.

I’m in Tallahassee too...where in the world did you vote? That experience did not happen to me at all. I was at a church.

Voted in SW Illinois (metro St. Louis) on Sunday at the county seat. Long and steady lines the whole time. Very polite people; no drama. This county (Madison) tends to be democrat as a whole, while the eastern (more rural) half tends to be more republican for local and congressional races.

Went out prowling this morning and saw a lot of people at the various polling places but no really long lines. Trump signs outnumber the oligarchy candidate by 10 to 1. It will be fascinating to see how this county ends up. Usually Madison aligns with Cook County.

Just voted in Fairfax, VA (Fair Oaks area).

About an equal number of Trump signs as Hillary in the grass in front of the venue, one Jill Stein sign. Closer to the door larger "No Meal Tax" signs (which have been posted at quite a few at local eateries for months now).

No lines, but steady stream of people and 85% full booths to fill out paper ballots (that get scanned).

Deplorable redneck here living in podunk America on the outskirts of an urban hellhole. Last time we voted for President it was in and out in 5 minutes. Today it was an hour and a half. We have only seen Trump signs, have never seen any Hillary. Not one. There may be some in the urban jungle but I don’t venture there unless I have to.

I almost didn’t go vote because I was feeling bad today but after reading Ralph Peters vomit this morning, it got me so mad I had to make sure I got my vote counted. So thank you Ralphie you sorry pos. Maybe he can tell his vote the people in south Louisiana are still waiting for her flood visit.

GO TRUMP !

Thx, Art! FWIW, I think the Dem crossover for Trump will be higher that 7%. Way higher.

My gut tells me it's going to be 15-20% at least. Fight on! The late voters are going to determine it. Get everyone you know who hasn't voted - busy, at work, not feeling good, whatever - even go get em' and help them get there and Vote!

I’m just across the Allegheny Co. boarder in Westmoreland Co PA. About 20 minutes from Pittsburgh proper. Girlfriend voted at 9am, told me there were only 2 other individuals there with her. I waited until 12:30pm,because I wanted to see the turnout, and it was scant. Only 6 individuals beside myself. This area is generally low-middle, median income around 27K, population 5k, white/black = 80/20. FWIW last time around in 2012 the polling place was packed at 9am when we went to vote. This is my girlfriends first election since changing her registration to R, so I did not to pump info from the Dem door-knocker that usually comes around a week before the election.

Deplorable lawyer up here in Watertown, NY. Close enough to Canada to practically hit it with a rock. We are generally much more conservative than the down State rascals. My local polling place had a long line out the door at 11:00 a.m. I’ve never seen this many people in the 40 years I’ve been voting. The poll workers said the same thing. I wore a bright red jacket and greeted people with a hearty “Eagles Up!”
