Virginia Gov. Pardons 60,000 Felons, Enough To Swing Election

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has granted voting rights to as many as 60,000 convicted felons just in time for them to register to vote, nearly five times more than previously reported and enough to win the state for his long-time friend, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

McAuliffe sought to allow all of Virginia’s estimated 200,000 felons to vote, but state courts said each individual felon’s circumstances must be weighed. To get around that, McAuliffe used a mechanical autopen to rapidly sign thousands of letters, as if he had personally reviewed them, even as his office was saying the total was 13,000.

Now, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned that McAuliffe — who managed Clinton’s unsuccessful 2008 presidential campaign — churned out five times as many letters before the registration deadline than publicly claimed.

If he just did this within the last couple of days, this shows you that VA is DEFINITELY in play.

Was in play.

And the Gov should be impeached. This is a brazen attempt to rig the election.

Wull geez, it's not like he raised money to bribe the wife of the Eff-Bee-Eye guy in charge of Hillarys email investigation or anything.

Golly, you're so mean

Stupid me. I was taught that felons can’t vote. I guess if they are pardoned it makes it all right.

Where are these felons going to live? Are they going to be bused to other states?

I'd guess that these are all felons who were no longer incarcerated, living somewhere in Virginia (per their parole records).

What does it say about Democrats when they automatically assume that felons will vote Democrat?

Praying their plan backfires. Lots of folks that had a run in with the law hate Hillary and the rigged gov system.

McAuliffe is on of the nastiest Clintonoids. It truly is a disgrace he is a Gov.

This is yet another reason why I disagree with ANYONE (President or Govenor) having the ability to commute sentences. They can thwart justice without consequence and without limitation. If they can release 60,000 Felons without recourse, is it that much of a stretch for them to do the exact opposite and round up 60,000 innocents and make them felons?

This man released 60,000 animals that juries convicted. And who knows how many innocents suffered to get them incarcerated and how many now will die or be raped now that they are free.

I pray that Terry and his family personally suffer the fate that will befall the innocents that will suffer from his corruption. I hope this strikes him, deeply and personally. He will learn in no other way.

But what if they’re all mad at Clinton for calling them superpredators?

As an aside, I think its a travesty that there are 200000 convicted felons in just Virginia alone...

I am sure that the people of Virginia do not appreciate having their votes being cancelled out by felons. I’m guessing that this horses a$$ Terry Mcauliffe has until January before he is frog-marched out of the Governors mansion in handcuffs.

.
As Nebuchadnezzar stated in Daniel Ch 4 :17
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Are you talking about a whole different story?

This is about felons who had completed their sentences and were being granted, not pardons, but voting right restorations.

Agreed on both points.

With the return rate to prison, the first thing on many of these guys’ minds is not voting Tuesday.

And yes, the dems may cast ballots for them.

DIMOCRATs are subhuman debris. They have extreme anti-civilization and anti-freedom tendencies. They corrode everything they touch. May they all rot.

The VAGOP is run by Cheap Labor Express Republicans.
They sabotaged Cuccinelli because he wasn’t their choice for Gov.
They picked the last two losers for Senate races, retread Sen. Macaca and Cheap Labor Gillespie.

Bush did worse than nothing, he REDUCED border and interior enforcement AFTER 9/11.
Totally unforgivable.
He’ll probably vote for Hillary to keep the Cheap Labor Express running.

No, this is old news. In April, McAuliffe issued an executive order to restore felons' voting rights. The Virginia supreme court struck it down in July, but left the door open for the governor to issue individual pardons to give the felons voting rights.
