I have been saying much the same. In Wisconsin, People with concealed carry permits are likely as much as 15% of voters.
But they are people who are civic minded. How much different they will vote in this race is unclear.
In previous races, where gun control has been a factor, the gun side has won big.

I’m in South Carolina and was at a public range last Sunday morning in the Francis Marion State Park, around 7:00 AM...
It was packed and I had to wait for a bench which has never happened to me before that early in the morning. Asked the old guy in front of me in line if I could share the next available spot with him and we did.
He had a brand new S&W 15-22 he was sighting in and an M&P Shield in 9mm. When we left after 90 mins the range was busier than I’ve ever seen it before. I also noticed some graffiti, somebody has written, ‘Hillary for Prison’ on the woodwork...lol

Your estimate is way, way too low. I know numerous people who have CC permits and DO CARRY, many of those are my neighbors. Wisconsin has an “army” of over 400 thousand gun owners and many of those have more than one gun. I guess technically you could call Wisconsin gun owners and “army”.
I hope you urged that man to get a trigger job on the Shield. Hated mine until I did so - now it’s my daily carry choice!

One other consideration. The people I know who carry, or even just own firearms ... We don’t respond to polls. We are no doubt virtually unsampled in polling data. But when we vote...
