Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has officially joined the Donald Trump campaign and has already hit the trail with Gov. Mike Pence in Iowa and Michigan.
After a heated primary season for the Republican Party, Trump and Cruz came out of the Republican National Convention with a less-than-friendly relationship.
"Sen. Cruz will join Gov. Pence in Iowa and Michigan today," Pence's press secretary Marc Lotter told USA TODAY. "Having Sen Cruz join the governor today underscores what he has been saying for the past few weeks and we are seeing happen across the country - it is time for Republicans to come home."
You and me both. I voted for his Democrat opponent in the general and I’ll do it again.......I’ll NEVER vote for Cruz!!
Five days, before the election? News Flash!!!! September 23, 2016 was 41 days ago
Romney may be eligible, but he had his chance and took a dive.
Steyn is someone I like a lot but is not eligible.
The natural born citizen clause served us well until we ignored it.
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama is proof enough of their wisdom.
There are none so blind as those who will not see. It’s been a disillusioning year. Some freepers are just jerks. Care nothing for the truth, care nothing for evidence, care nothing about working together for the common good.
I just need to get away from them. Most of the people who spoke out for common decency have been banned or gagged - as I was here until about a month ago.
The hypocrisy is staggering. It’s hard to overlook that and just work on the battle against this lawless regime that’s trying to continue under Hillary. I need to treat these posters as trolls, because what they are doing is hindering the very things they claim to want.
Nellie
No it doesn’t mean that. It means you were a citizen at birth. You’re either an immigrant or a natural-born citizen. There’s no other status.
So, in context here, you are saying that Cruz did not vote for Trump because he received money from the GOP. Then he publicly announced that he did vote for Trump, and got on Trump's plane to campaign with Mike Pence.
If you really believe that, best of luck to you.
A suggestion: When you vote, don't spend too much time looking for Ted Cruz's name on the ballot, so you can vote against him. His name won't be there. The name you want to look for is "TRUMP." Vote for Trump.
I am glad that you are admitting that you are speculating. I just wonder why?
Cruz is out this all important week hitting the campaign trail for Trump.
Cruz seems to hold a personal grudge and doesn't say Donald Trump's name very much.
That about covers it.
I'm not sure why the long thread with all the back and forth when we should be united in our goal of having Trump defeat the crooked Marxist.
The only way that I would believe that Lyin’ Ted votee for Trump is to see his ballot when he voted. But like his life’s documents, that is a secret.
The recently deceased King of Thailand was born in Cambridge MA. He was eligible in your world.
So is every anchor baby and if one is only an American on one’s mother’s side like Ted Cruz, so was Winston Churchill.
Curiously Congress bestowed honorary citizenship upon him.
Ted Cruz wasn’t a citizen until he or his parents filed the correct paperwork to be recognized as such. When was that?
How do you know he hasn’t already voted for him? I believe his word before I believe yours
We’re just cleaning out the scoundrels out of the GOP. Cruz just happens to be on of them.
The one man who stood against Loretta Lynch and a bunch of other things. The one man who was willing to expose that the R leadership lies to its caucus in order to get the crappy legislation we’ve gotten. The one man who was willing to have people say he “doesn’t play well with others” (by people who claim to want Trump because he won’t go along with the corrupt politicians...)
What is going on here is party spirit. Period. Facts be d@mned. A good ol’ Salem witch hunt feels SO GOOD, doesn’t it? Burn ‘em at the stake!
You hit the nail on the head, Kaslin.
Ted’s gonna do what’s best for Ted. That, we can be sure of.
Can’t be the poster said he didn’t. He must have been with Ted Cruz in the voting booth and never seen him push the button for Cruz
Barry flunks all 3 of my conditions.
1. Constantly apologizes for American actions, wich can only mean he neither admires or loves America
2. Never has America first in his agenda
3. Pushes importing unvetted Muslims -over- highly skilled people with proven history of accomplishments and abiding law.
My point again is, anyone who does not think America is the greatest country in the world, and always has America first attitude, should never be elected president.
Talk about psychological projection
Yes the why Kaslin. Is he looking at a bleak future in TX and this is a shot at redemption, or is Pence sizing him up as to what he’d be like to work with. Yes maybe I am reading too much into it and a cigar is just a cigar...
