“Freeper Jeff Head’s Cancer now diagnosed as Terminal”

As many of you may know, Freeper Jeff Head, a long time member of our forum, was diagnosed six years ago with malignant bone cancer callled Chordoma. It is very rare and and was fond in his lower back and his Sacrum. He had to undergo multiple major spine surgeries, then months of rehab, followed by radiation treatment.

Jeff was asked by MD Anderson to give a presentation about his experience five years ago, before the cancer began showing signs of returning:

Now, sadly, the cancer has returned recently and is now in his liver, his right pectorial muscle, four places in his skin, and three more places in his Lumbar and Thoracic Spine.

Jeff spent two more months in Houston in May, June, and July with more surgery and more radiation. Dispite these efforts, his condition has now been diagnosed as terminal.

This is forcing Jeff to take an early medical retirement at work, several years before he otherwise would have been prepared to do so financially.

He has submitted his paperwork to the government (Jeff works for the Bureau of Reclamation that builds and maintains hydro-electic and irrigation dams out west).

His problem is that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) can take anywhere from 6-12 months to render a decision and Jeff must go on sick leave while he awaits their decision.

So, for any of you Freepers who work for any agency of the government, you can help Jeff out by sharing any Use-or-Lose leave you may have.

Jeff is a patriot and good Christian man, father, and grandfather who has personally been involved with many activities against our ever more burdensome government, including in Washington, DC, Jarbidge, Nevada, and Klamath Falls, Oregon. Jeff also wrote a five book series about America, a fictional story about the US being attacked by various nations who take advantage of our own current trends. This book is filled with teachings about the Constitution and how the US can prevail if we will simply turn to our roots and foundational, Christian principles. It is called, “The Dragon’s Fury: World War Against America and the West.”

For anyone, particularly non-governmental individuals who cannot share leave, a PayPal fund for Jeff’s family has also been set up to help with his family as his retirement is being seriously impacted by this.

At any rate, we know that Jeff and his family would be most grateful for your prayers, thoughts, and any help you may be able to give. He has been willing over the years to give of his time and help others freely and believes firmly that all of this is in God’s hands and that in the end, God’s will shall prevail.

Jeff has made it clear in any case that he does not want anyone either with their leave or their funds, to contribute anything that would put their own leave or finances in any kind of jeopardy. Jeff believes he has already been the recipient of so much.

May God in Heaven continue to bless Jeff as he goes through this very painful experience, and may God bless each of you, and our nation at this critical juncture, that we as a people may turn to Him and work our hearts out for the right.

He has indicated that depending on how agressive the tumors in his liver and chest are, he could have anywhere from months to longer, perhaps even a year or two, with decining health throughout.

He has asked his wife to keep that site up as long as she can possibly do so, and has often commented on how he, a hay seed kid, from a ranch in Texas, could ever receive millions of hits as his site has done.

Heavenly Father, We all come before you with a solemn heart and in need of Your intercession. We, Jeff's FRiends, pray that the cancer that has come into this dear man's life soon fades into remission.
Comfort Jeff upon his sickbed, and ease his suffering. We beg for deliverance, and submit that no healing is too hard for the Lord. We therefore pray that You bless his dear wife with peace, comfort and understanding in Your loving name.
We believe in Your loving capacity for miracles, and ask for this on this wife husband's behalf.
Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, grant Jeff the courageous, humble acceptance of the procedures, the therapies which awaits him, and let this be the relief and cure which he and his family and FRiends seek. I pray you, Lord, that Jeff's treatments be without complications and that his recovery will be speedy and complete.
Heavenly Father, You know every fiber of our being and have willed that we were born. I beseech You, Lord, to guide the minds and hands of those who will treat on this man so that he may be restored to health and well-being.
Help us, Lord, to pray with all my heart and allow our burden of concern and anxiety and that of Jeff's family to be lifted up with the knowledge that You are with them now and always. And Lord, when he awakes from your miracle, take him and his family by your loving hand and guide them towards a life of thanksgiving and peace. As we grow older, I know we become closer to the day you accept us back into your kingdom. We ask that you delay that holy union if it be your will. In your name we pray,
Lord, Your scripture set forth that You heal all diseases and whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen this husband and wife, Lord, in this time of his illness. Sustain them as he lays sick in his bed. When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.
Lord of all…this man is suffering, his wife is suffering, we ask to do what is right, good and best for them. As it fits your plan, heal him and mend his body and lovingly grant him days of better health and strength. As his wife waits your grace and blessing please grant her an extra measure of patience, endurance and perseverance. Lord we know You are able to heal. Grant this couple the wisdom to understand Your timing.

Jeff Head,

I was saddened to see this thread yesterday and it was then I knew why a repetitive theme had surfaced in my bible readings this past week.

You are not alone. We know that Christ took all of our sins, our pain, our grief, everything bad on the cross that day, but with that he also made a promise, one that he repeated again and again through scripture.

“On that day, you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in that love.”

“...Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us.”

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

You are not alone. Christ is with you. He knows and has experienced every last detail of your ordeal before and during with you. He will be there when it ends, whether that be in recovery or not, and will continue to be with you.

These are just words coming from me, but I know from personal experience they are truth as I’m sure you do too.

You are in my prayers.
