The FBI obtained a warrant to search emails related to the Hillary Clinton private server probe that were discovered on ex-congressman Anthony Weiner's laptop, law enforcement officials confirmed Sunday.
The warrant came two days after FBI director James Comey revealed the existence of the emails, which law-enforcement sources said were linked to Weiner's estranged wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
The FBI already had a warrant to search Weiner's laptop, but that only applied to evidence of his allegedly illicit communications with an underage girl.

True enough, but not in my memory has voter fraud been subjected to so much scrutiny. Trump’s exposure of it constantly may hopefully curtail it.

It is my understanding that there has to be significant evidence to issue a warrant. But.......I am not a lawyer.
They had been over-ruled. Given the rumors of mass resignations the cover-up was about to become uncovered. Lynch/Comey were facing the world's biggest whistleblower case - and against experienced FBI agents and DOJ attorneys [and these guys are among the best there are].

Perhaps. With all the resources, connections, corruption, the only thing retarding their progress has been their stupidity. Not anything that anyone else in politics was fighting them with has worked (except perhaps for TRUMP and this election TBD). The only way they will go down on this particular thing though is from their own stupidity. I agree it could happen. We’ll see.

The FBI pulls some BS like that and says there is nothing there, they’ll look dumber and more corrupt than they do now...THEY DO NOT WANT THAT!!!!
There is something to this reopening of the Clinton case....

That is professional suicide for Comey and will destroy the FBI. Not a chance. He has something of historical magnitude, he knows that already. He has to have that or he is in tremendous jeopardy himself. He couldn’t take this step without knowing he can deliver.

I have thought DT had something, but no idea what it is. If he knew about this, it would make sense he would keep it quiet, because if true, it would be almost as hard on anyone who releases it as on Cankles.

I can envision a scenario that has Comey addressing the media on Wednesday, saying “We have looked at the emails that were of concern and found that there’s nothing to investigate. Case Closed”.

That’s probably the worst thing he could do — even if it’s true. Nobody will believe him.

I do believe Comey acted on Friday from “Internal Pressure” but may act later this week from “External Pressure”.
BTW, I posted on Friday that the best thing the FBI/Comey could do (for Trump) was NOT say anything more than what was in his letter.
Let the Media/Internet/WikiLeaks etc etc explode with speculation and rumors and this is exactly what is happening. Also, the Clinton camp knows that it will be the speculation that will kill them and has called for the FBI to release any information they have.
I’m not convinced of anything concrete against HRC et el, and I don’t trust Comey, the FBI, the DOJ, the WH, the Media and even WikiLeaks.

I agree with that. Don't get me wrong on that. But, I'm saying the way it goes from here will be Obama DOJ whitewash, unless the stupidity of the Clinton Inc. catches up with them again. That's all I'm saying really. Warrant issued was something DOJ wants, as they need to be selective as to new information they can reeal (positive for Hillary), and control narrative
