This video shows a Catholic priest clearly saying that Catholics who vote for an abortion supporting Democrat are committing a sin and should not present themselves to receive Holy Communion.

I believe this is the issue. If priests specifically comment on a candidate or political party, I suspect the Dems or ACLU will bring suit asap and that Church runs risk of losing tax exempt status. But, seems this only applies to speaking about conservative issues.
The priest does talk about this in the Homily...
No, I doubt it. Black preachers do it all the time and no one says a word. One was on 60 minutes report fro Ohio last night and he clearly violated that law.

Now this is my kind of Catholicism.
One thing that’s a continual source of shame to me is the number of my co-religionists who continue to support Democrats.
I suspect a lot of this has to do with old ethnic animosities that go back to the 19th century when the famine Irish, were given a cold reception by native-born Americans.
Still, that was a long, long time ago.
Today, every once in a while, I sense that evangelicals I meet experience what I might call a “twinge” when I tell them I’m Roman Catholic.
Then I simply remind them that only Catholics and evangelicals are standing strong for life.

Very Rev. John Lankeit of Ss Simon and Jude Cathedral. The original website said he was from the DC Diocese which is why it was priceless that he tweaked Cardinal Wuerl at the end, turning Wuerl’s own words back at him!

The priest is absolutely correct. No sincere Catholic can support and assist someone who facilitates or causes the murder of innocent, unborn children.
