In hitting and offense, the Cubbies were the third best scoring team in MLB whereas the Tribe was the fifth best, so theyre pretty close offensively with the Cubbies having a slight edge.
However, in pitching and defense the Cubbies were first in MLB in fewest runs scored against them whereas the Tribe was seventh, the Cubbies with a fairly large advantage.
The Cubbies should win.

My Dad took me to a Cubs-Giants game at Wrigley when I was a kid.A dreary April afternoon...no more than a couple of thousand in the stands. The Cubs were getting shelled and Durocher came out to pull the pitcher.I swear that several thousand beer bottles came flying out of the stands.
I had never seen anything like it.I've never seen anything like it since.

The cubbies should winI went to a few Indians games this year. They're a wonderful team to watch. They've gotten even more cohesive, confident and competent in the past month. I wouldn't count them out.

I like the Tribe. Should be a good matchup. Looking forward to it. But regular-season stats show the Cubbies are the stronger team.

The primary curse the Cubs had was crappy ownership that (depending on the owners) either had no interest in building a good team, or no ability. Those days are gone, the current owners want a good team and know how to build it.

I’ll take that. Plus Cleveland is where Trump was nominated. Good sign as well.

Fox Sports wanted the Dodgers to be in it so bad. Not surprised they write up this crap.

Two words: Joe Maddon.
Saw Arrieta & Co. beat the DBacks when the pitcher hit a two run homer while it was storming outside in Phoenix. It’s been a weird year...

I heard somebody at a radio station, was trying to find someone who remembers the last Cubs World Series victory in 1908.
You figure that if anybody remembered it, they would have to have been 7 or 8 years old then, meaning they would be 115 or 116 today. Not likely they will find anybody.
But they will be able to find people who remember the last Cubs World Series appearance in 1945, as well as some Clevelanders who remember the Tribe’s last World Series victory in 1948.
Interesting match up here, in that, some long suffering fans will see their championship drought end. It’s been 68 long years for Cleveland fans, and 108 years since the Cubs won the World Series.
