BOBBY SHORT: YOUVE GOT THAT THINGBobby (1924-2005) started at the Café Carlyle in Manhattan in 1968 on a temporary basis and stayed until 2003. He did the famous Charlie perfume commercial in 1976 and was featured in a number of Woody Allen films. ROBERT GOULET: YOUVE GOT THAT THINGOld timers remember Gary Moore and his comedy/variety show on CBS. Among the cast were Durward Kirby and the young Carol Burnett. In 1968 Carol was to take over his niche with her own show that would run for decades. This is from 1962. Goulet does his best to imitate Maurice.

FIFTY MILLION FRENCHMEN
LIBBY HOLMAN: FIND ME A PRIMITIVE MANLibby was bisexual, promiscuous and found herself in the middle of a notorious murder trial, in which the Reynolds tobacco family paid off officials to keep it under control. As Tom Lehrer once said of Alma Schindler Mahler Gropius Werfel, The body that reached her embalmer was one that had known how to live!
This recording is from 1930. Note that Coles minor key voice is quite different from his major key voice. Its almost like a different composer.
