Here was my "closing argument" that I suggested a couple weeks ago for the debate. Maybe he can incorporate some of this in his prime time spot!:

I'm am honored and humbled to be a candidate for President of our great nation. I acknowledge that I am not the smoothest politician and sometimes I don't say things as calculated as a career politician who is wired to parse every word to be politically correct. I am a straight talking businessman... the arena of politics is new to me and I could have taken the easy path and stayed on the sidelines running my very successful businesses comfortably.

But, I love this country and the American people too much to sit idly by while the entrenched political establishment, including the Clinton political machine, maintains the status quo... the status quo that will keep our country on a disastrous, unsuccessful path. It is time to change the tired old establishment that fails to get results for you and your family year after year after year.

You don't have to love me to vote for me. Heck, you don't have to like me personally. When you board an airplane, you don't ask yourself if you like the pilot. All you care about is whether the pilot is competent and can safely deliver you to your destination. When I am elected President, I will use my lifelong experience, God-given talents, and everything in my power to get you and your family to a safer and more prosperous destination... a destination where America is great again.

I second that. I was thinking the other day he should do 15 minute or 5 minute ad of a Fireside Chat type of presentation, every night, from now until Nov 8. The ambiance of that is familiar to a lot of Americans. Very normal and sets a mood of trust and familiarity.

I don’t have words to express the gratitude I feel for this man, at this moment. He literally just pinged every patriotic receptor in my body and soul.

God truly raises up the most unlikely heroes at the unlikeliest of times, doesn’t he? Right when our nation most needs a champion composed of the Right Stuff, here he is. How blessed are we?

Others have remarked that Trump is the finest American to stand for the presidency since Washington. That has resonated with me, but I’ve always thought it was a bit over the top. More and more, I’m convinced that those people are right, and that I haven’t fully appreciated what a historic figure this man truly is.

What an awe inspiring speech. I’ve lived a lifetime to hear an American leader say the things he did. If we fail to elect him in November, we deserve to lose everything the Framers bequeathed to us.
