A Russian carrier fleet which passed through the English Channel today deployed heavily-armed guards to deter anyone approaching the warships.
A number of guards, equipped with AK-74 assault rifles and heavy machine guns were spotted on the flight deck of the Admiral Kuznetsov as it passed by the White Cliffs of Dover.
The powerful fleet was ordered to pass through the Channel, which is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, in single file.

That's what you're known for. Except for the clever part.
Vera Lynn, “The White cliffs of Dover” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5aeClRY4kA
One of the most beautiful voices the world has ever heard.
Well, are they?
Having a strong military, or having a safe full of guns, doesn't mean squat if you don't have the will to use them. If you're not willing to fight back, or throw a preemptive punch when it's needed, then you're a pipsqueak. Like we've become.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho! God Bless Texas!
Far from being a powerful fleet, it seems to be anything but that. And that Aircraft carrier looks to be burning coal. Amazing.
I’ll prefer “We’ll meet again.”
The aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov is said to be nuclear powered, why is it huffing smoke in every picture like she was coal fired? Just curious.
"Romanian intelligence defector Ion Mihai Pacepa alleged that an operation for the removal of chemical weapons was prepared by the Soviet Union for Libya, and that he was told over thirty years ago by Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, KGB chairman Yury Andropov, and later, Yevgeny Primakov, about the existence of a similar plan for Iraq.
It is 'perfectly obvious', wrote Pacepa, that the Russian GRU agency helped Saddam Hussein to destroy, hide, or transfer his chemical weapons prior to the American invasion of Iraq in 2003. 'After all, Russia helped Saddam get his hands on them in the first place.'[13]
John Loftus, director of The Intelligence Summit, said in the November 16, 2007 issue of FrontPage Magazine that many documents from Iraq point to WMD being transferred to other countries such as Syria: 'As stated in more detail in my full report, the British, Ukrainian and American secret services all believed that the Russians had organized a last minute evacuation of CW [chemical] and BW [biological] stockpiles from Baghdad to Syria.'
His researchers allegedly found a document ordering the concealment of nuclear weapons equipment in storage facilities under the Euphrates River a few weeks before the invasion.[14]"
Don’t recall seeing your name before, but it’s obvious you’re another Putin butt kisser. If this were my site you creeps would have been tossed out on your butts a long time ago.
Oh, wait - that's not Russian, or American...
Will none dare call it treason?!
Will none dare call it treason?!
Just imagine what the hells going on under the surface.
Just curious, Putinista, what do you, as an obvious big fan of KGB/FSB Putin, think of Trump’s selection for VP, Mike Pence, given his strong stance on Putin and his “big picture” agenda in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world, such as Eastern Europe and leftist Latin America? Also his support of numerous tyrannical/lunatic regimes such as Iran, Syria and North Korea, as well as Red China, who, btw, Russia’s been conducting joint war games with, in clear preparation for war with us (the United States) and our allies, since 2005. Trump himself sharply criticized Putin for his invasion of the Ukraine.
A note to Putin, Obama, and NATO- Why are these ships not sailing as part of a joint task force to restore order in Syria? ISIS and Iran are the enemies of the west. If we fight among ourselves we will die.
The level of reckless brinkmanship and misplaced warmongering we see today is terrifying.
Same here, as they are traitors to the nation. Putin just does what he does, given who and what he is.
Because, perhaps, there is more going on than meets the eye in regards to the Russians and their big picture agenda in the Middle East, and elsewhere around the world? Trump's VP pick, Mike Pence, fully gets it, as did Ted Cruz and every other wise and solid conservative that I'm aware of.
I don't support your Chechen terrorist relatives in Syria. In fact, I want to see them all dead. And it looks like I will be seeing just that. They ain't gonna be coming home, so get used to it.
I don't think the Russians had anything to worry about.
