Obama Paints 'A Fairly Sizable Number' of Republican Primary Voters As 'The Swamp of Crazy

Democrats have Republican friends and neighbors who are "some great people," President Obama said Thursday at a campaign rally in Ohio.

But the Republican base includes a "swamp of crazy" -- people who deny climate change, espouse conspiracy theories, listen to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. Obama said Republican politicians who "knew better" never spoke up.

So "all that bile -- all that exaggeration, all that stuff that wasn't grounded in fact, just bubbled up," Obama said -- producing Donald Trump as the Republican Party's presidential nominee.

Better being a Republican in the “Swamp of crazy” than a Democrat in the “Sewer of stupid”.

Odd that moochie hates it (the white house) because it was built entirely by slave labor(according to her) that she actually took up residence there. IF it really upset her that much, she should have stood her ground, lived her conscience and said: “NO. The children and I will get a place down at the Watergate.” But, since there are no principles involved, she moved on up.

My ancestors were from northwestern Europe. When they came to the US they settled in the northeastern US and we're still there today.Very, very little experience with swamps.OTOH,I've traveled both in Kenya *and* Indonesia.Kenya features some dry areas but there are also many, many swampy areas as well.

And Indonesia is just one huge swamp.

You wanna talk swamps,Scooter? That's cool with me.

If we're so bad, why has he weaponized the federal government against us?

I would also point out that Rush is very much for Trump, given his butt-hurt over Cruz has faded. He is very strongly anti-Hillary.

Every day he points out the collusions of the media, wiki-leaks revelations, the lies about Trump.

But Rush bashing has become become a cottage industry around here, from self-styled “conservative purists”, to outright trolls.

A free society, in order to continue, and as envisioned by the Founders of this land which attracted oppressed peoples from all over the world for over 200 years, required an "enlightened" citizenry.

An Enlightened, Committed People Who Understand The Principles Of Our Constitution

Possessing a clear understanding of the failure of previous civilizations to achieve and sustain freedom for individuals, our forefathers discovered some timeless truths about human nature, the struggle for individual liberty, the human tendency toward abuse of power, and the means for curbing that tendency through Constitutional self-government. Jefferson’s Bill For The More General Diffusion Of Knowledge For Virginia declared:

“…experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms (of government), those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny; and it is believed that the most effectual means of preventing this would be, to illuminate…the minds of the people…to give them knowledge of those facts, which history exhibiteth. History, by apprizing them of the past, will enable them to judge of the future…it will qualify them judges of the actions and designs of men; it will enable them to know ambition under every disguise it may assume; and knowing it, to defeat its views..”

Education was not perceived by the Founders to be a mere process for teaching basic skills. It was much, much more. Education included the very process by which the people of America would understand and be able to preserve their liberty and secure their Creator-endowed rights. Understanding the nature and origin of their rights and the means of preserving them, the people would be capable of self government, for they would recognize any threats to liberty and “nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud.” (Adams)

And they call Trump “dangerous” over-and-over, although Hillary! along with Obama are apparently itching for WWIII, after destabilizing an entire region of the world, killing and dislocating hundreds of thousands in Syria.
(But they made up for it by sending to Europe and bringing into this country the most radicalized and dangerous of them.)
