If it did there would be no contest at all Trump would run away with this election.
Take the black vote. They vote super high numbers for dems over and over and over. Year after year their condition, their communities all over the country get worse and worse.Yet they keep voting for dems over and over. Look at the big cities. Look who runs them. Look at their demise. It's all so logical yet those who are ravaged year after year keep voting for more of the same.I don't get it.

That's what the election pros work with every day, how to influence the voter. I'd wager all voters think they are making reasoned, informed choices. But you are absoultly correct. Few voters are dealing with relaible facts, they deal with "media facts," which are falsehoods. Example: Trump is a bigot, see Curiel, Khan. They also vote for what they think is in their best interest, which is more or less a "lottery mentality" decision. Blacks vote for status quo, becuase they get government money, and don't want to lose that.
Very few people, maybe 20%, are capable of steely-eyed rational thought, and for the most part, choosing between the candidates gets less thought than choosing what to have for lunch today.
Logic and Common Sense are sorely lacking in today’s world. Blame for part of this decline has to be placed on our education system. Critical thinking, forerunner to both logic and common sense, is no longer taught.
Trying to have a serious conversation with a High School student today is, unfortunately, amusing. Comparing them to a HS student from 20 years ago is a sad joke.
