Logic and Common Sense are sorely lacking in today’s world. Blame for part of this decline has to be placed on our education system. Critical thinking, forerunner to both logic and common sense, is no longer taught.
Trying to have a serious conversation with a High School student today is, unfortunately, amusing. Comparing them to a HS student from 20 years ago is a sad joke.
We can’t keep losing the education battle. It appears that private schools are going to be the way out unless we can get more control of the highly regimented/regulated public schools which don’t educate they dominate.
