Fox News Poll: Clinton leads Trump by 7 points
Fox News ^ | October 13, 2016 | Dana Blanton

Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump has increased to seven points, as more than half of voters say he is not qualified to be president.

That’s according to a just-released national Fox News Poll of likely voters.

Clinton receives 45 percent to Trump’s 38 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson is at 7 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein gets 3 percent. Last week, Clinton was up by two points in the four-way contest (44-42 percent).

It's easy to tell with the FR poll formula,it goes something like this: If we like the result of the poll, then things are looking up. If we don't like the result of the poll, then it's a phoney, rigged, lie that is a media fabrication.

Bullshit.

How about "If it looks like abject Democrat propaganda, and the internals firmly back that fact up, and it comes from a pro-Hillary Media outlet, and is obviously intended to boost Hillary, then we don't like the result of the poll" instead?

This poll shows 10% going to two 3rd party candidates.
The last third party candidate to win more than 5.0% of the
vote was Ross Perot, who ran as an independent and as the
standard-bearer of the Reform Party in 1992 and 1996

Good point. A lot of people are parking their votes in 3rd party candidates right now, IMO. Especially the tantruming never Trumpers. Most will end up back in the GOP camp and will vote Trump to defeat Hillary Criminal. That’s why I don’t sweat a poll at all with Trump down 7%.

Nonsense, Trump is up by a million percent! Everyone loves him!

Interesting to see Bernie campaign for Hillary Criminal after the DNC smeared his religion and threw the election to her. OTOH, Trump is going it alone. He’s getting no help at all from the sore loser “Republicans” he wiped the floor with in the primaries. They don’t seem at all interested in stopping Hillary & Her SCOTUS. How pathetic is that?

I have no idea what’s going on with the polls.

As Rush said yesterday, it’s very difficult to trust polls from people who have been lying to us for years, particularly this year.

There’s on poll that counts, and on that day I’ll be out bright and early to do my civic duty.

Donald, best of luck bud.

I thought the majority of voters were now I dependent, so why aren’t they weighted the most (as if I didn’t know) ?

Please spare us, you’ve posted your idiotic “not good” on every poll showing Hillary supposedly up ad nauseam. Sorry, but it’s just a little creepy and trollish.

I think Limbaugh is correct. Convergence to a more realistic value begins as we get closer to election day (I think it’s happening now, with Trump showing no damage from the tape, as polls move “back” in his direction).

There’s no reason to think that most of these pollsters don’t share the MSM’s disdain for Trump and are working hand in hand.

However, unlike the MSM, who traded their ethics for leftist ideology long ago, and are basically finished if Trump wins, the pollsters would like to preserve their reputations.

Buried in a pro-Cankles article, OH black absentees down 2%, white absentees up 2%.

If you were to extrapolate to the whole voting population nationally, this is R+2.1m votes.

They are *never* going to show Trump in the lead in this election, even if he is.

Makes it too hard to cheat if they show him ahead. I can't help be get discouraged though because they keep pulling this off.

shhhhh I have a secret, listen closely.......

Pollsters do not weight polls by party identification.

They never have. This “undersampling of Republicans” thing is total and utter nonsense.

They will weight by demographics, but NEVER by party ID. So the reason there are more Dems in this poll is because more people are saying this year that they are Dems because so many people don’t like Donald Trump.

Fox (Faux) News can no longer be considered a credible source of information. Fox Business and Cavuto maybe, but only guardedly.

Na, he probably is just a consultant.

This poll has that distinct Carl Rove/Dick Morris air of certainty all over it.

Merely adding 2% more whites and subtracting 2% blacks by itself would have added 2.1m more R voters. Spread across key states, that would have elected Romney. We’re not even talking independents (Trump wins indies by 10%-—pretty conservative-—that’s 1.6m more voters). Nor is it talking net D-R crossovers over R-D. I haven’t done the math, but I imagine if that’s a 5% margin, it’s another 1m=4.7m right there.

If in fact Trump is 10 points higher with Hispanics as some polls show, you’re over 5m.

So the reason there are more Dems in this poll is because more people are saying this year that they are Dems because so many people don’t like Donald Trump.

The reason there are more Dems in this poll is because more Dems chose to answer the phone and take part in the survey.

The party splits they report bear no resemblance to what the turnout will be on November 8.

If you think the turnout will be D+9, you're delusional. Thus, if you think this poll accurately reflects public opinion, you're equally delusional.

Any poll that doesn't reflect likely voter turnout using realistic D/R/I splits is thus pure propaganda.

We certainly know where the enthusiasm lies, and enthusiasm is what drives turnout. Therefore, Hillary being up +7 in a +9D poll is not anything to be concerned about, except inasmuch as there are suckers who believe it reflects actual public opinion.

This poll is not reflective of what will occur on November 8, unless you believe that turnout will really be D+9 and the proportion of Independents will be as ridiculously low as in this sample.

Vote Trump!

And even fewer like sore loser Ted Cruz. Trump is so “unlikable” yet he managed to wipe the floor with Saint Ted of Goldman.
