The 11th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot is underway! Once again we are celebrating the memory of an amazing man, and carrying on a tradition he started.
As always, it is great to visit with old friends and meet new ones.
Eventually pictures will be posted to this thread.
I broke tooth on the triscuit!
Thanks for answering the questions about TC.
I was so glad to get to see all y’all again! If it were my choice we would have been at all the shoots.
Glad you got your pie home :) Love feeding pie to my friends.
I’m finally home...and guess you are too. It was a great shoot and a wonderful time. The cottage was so cute...even if it didn’t have decent wifi! LOL!
I have pictures and will download them when i’m not brain dead. :)
Thank you for all the work you do to make these possible. You’re the BEST cat-herder I know. :)
ROFL!!!
He always gives it his all! :)
Awesome photo.
Some day....I shall make it.
El Roy (aka Texas Cowboy) spent almost his entire life in the oilfield. I was in it for 17 years before I went back to school and became a pharmacist. I conversed with El Roy over the internet for about a year before I meet him. He invited my down to shoot near Frederiksberg. I looked around and saw a tall lanky Texan. I walked up to him and said, “you look like oil field trash to me.” If you have worked in the oilfield you can say this to each other. Do not say it if you are not! It will not be pleasant.
El Roy stuck his hand out, a big smile and said, “you must be Charlie.” We both laughed. El Roy was a man of great principles and honor. We had shared stories of our oil field days, some not repeatable. Oddly enough we had worked in some of the same places but never at the same time. I meet El Roy after I left the oil field.
He is missed greatly!
Yall get on the road again ok? and get home?
Howdy
Now you know that story! LOL
Indeed! LOL! You worn out? Sure was good to see ya...and all the others, too! :)
I’m headed for pillows just staying up to see if our FRiends made it home.
You’re a good mother hen. I got home fine....just kinda tired. It’s 320 miles from my house to NYT’s and then that much back. Not the longest trip I make, but after all the late nights, my eyes won’t stay openzzzzzzzzz...........
There’s always some asshole that I try too stay away from and beat to the light.
Whats that??
Ohhh it was an interesting drive home, 10m miles over 10 miles under..
Yall get home OK?
Yer a road warrior, I only drove like 135
Did y’all make it home safe and sound?
