Hurricane Matthew is big, bad and just downright scary, with iminent and sustained impacts to U.S. mainland. Florida Governor Rick Scott issued a state of emergency for all of Florida and disaster operations are activated. More than 1.5 million Floridians reside in current evacuation zones. Governor Scott has spoken with utilities across the state to ensure utilities are pre-positioned and there are no unmet needs. Multiple coastal hospitals have been evacuated. Meanwhile, feckless President Barack Hussein Obama is personally monitoring the progress of the storm.

NN is hardly a stranger and its her thread. If you go after her you go after a bunch of us.
God protect all our young men and women who are stationed at Patrick Air force base and Cape Canaveral. Hopefully they are all evacuated to safe distance now.
Thanks suggesting that I should make my task easier!
Let’s hope the bigger cities have high dem content plus we are suffering from the “Colorado syndrome.” People moving to our state bringing their liberal politics with them.
Yep, that is my guess.Don’t trust the Main Stream Media, they told us in Mexico the worst most baddest, the most horrible, the historical power packed hurriance was going to wipe out the coast of Mexico, and it was just a big fart...a big wind... But, we will watch here on FB from peopla on site...and get the true report.
My father-in-law was one of those in Melbourne Beach (where Jim Cantore is now) ignoring evacuation orders. Until now! We just spoke and they’re leaving. If HE evacuates, stubborn old coot that he is, I’m hoping many others leave.
That path doesn’t seem to fit the ‘White Privilege’ model ...
As of this a.m storm looks to be coming right up Jupiter Inlet and then jogging north up through Stuart, Ft Pierce, Sebastian, Vero, Palm Bay up the Space Coast. My daughter is off Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens and she heard now winds 100-130mph for an extended period of time within 20 miles of the coast Boca Raton north. I want to see the 8am and 11am recons see what they have to say. Hoping for a wobble offshore.
“I was just watching CNN apparently no one has seen a storm like this in the history of mankind and there will be no survivors on the east coast in Florida.”
Did they also lambaste us deplorables for not listening to Al Gore when we had the chance? If not, that’s coming soon I’m sure.
Fortunately the only people who watch CNN are the ones waiting to board their flight.
Ha ha ha ha ha
Yours is one of the saddest posts for me......
I live in Brevard County
......didn’t realize it was half.....who are not evacuating
....although I have neighbors who are staying, also a SIL...( who has an ocean on one side and a river on the other)
I would imagine that Mississippi and other states will be sending utility crews en masse. Florida was one of those that sent their crews after Katrina and had power up in record time which made things more bearable.
Glad to hear he is bugging out.
Although catastrophic damage is very localized, this size storm can erase all traces of a well built house, including the slab, and the street pavement.
Hooray! I can vouch for the relief you are feeling just now.
You want to make it look like something it was never intended to be...How ‘progressive’ of you. Thank you too much.
THanks much.
I don’t envy your task. For the next 72 hours you will be one busy lady!
You would think that those moving to red states from blue states would leave their blue state thinking at curb of their old homes.
Although I did not see it for this storm, there are always huge convoys of utility trucks heading down I95 and other interstates headed toward the expected damage area. They get in and stage to be ready to go to work.
RE the 8:00 am advisory my guess is with the baro just read that 125mph is a very conservative estimate. I bet its higher.
