According to a focus group put together by longtime pollster Frank Luntz, Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence overwhelmingly won the debate against rival Democrat Tim Kaine in Farmville, Virginia Tuesday night.

Trump also, I notice, needs to work on his body language. He always seems out of sinc with whatever situation he’s in. The MSM takes advantage of that. Just about every pic of him shows his mouth open wide, or a smirk or a grimace. He’s got a great voice, his speaking style is excellent for connecting with people. But something is always off about his body language/facial expressions.

It’s 5.5 to 1. So, ask yourself this: if he claimed 6 to 1, how long would it take before some leftist “fact checker” gave him a bunch of “Pinocchios” for lying? 5 to 1 is the safe number to use. Not common core. Just common sense.

Pence just gave Trump a second lifeline, he needs to prepare hard and destroy Crooked Hillary Sunday nite in St. Louis

Of course that's what he should do. But Trump prepare? Surely you jest. That's not what he does. He's been campaigning for over a year and he still hasn't even glanced in his briefing books, if his campaign has ever bothered to prepare any. He will wing it and detonate half the minefield without knowing he's in dangerous territory. It's water over the dam, but this is what we nominated. Be realistic about the next debate.

Hillary won the first debate handily, and the poll results showed it.

Trump came across as a thin-skinned bully who couldn’t even handle the taunts of an old woman.

If a 17 year old USMC Parris Island recruit is expected to endure the taunts of a Marine Drill Instructor, a president who can’t handle one old hag is going to have problems.

He might have played well here, but not among the undecided voters he needs.

I am embarrassed for the people of the state of Virginia.

As a Virginian, I am embarrassed. As a conservative I regret that I only have one vote to cast against Kaine.

He hit the Peter Principle as a councilman in Richmond.
