Hungary set for landslide win over EU as voters see referendum as huge ‘NO to Brussels'

VOTERS in Hungary are getting set to deliver a resounding message to the European Union this weekend - they may be EU citizens, but they will NOT be told what to do, according to politicians in the country’s capital.

Today Hungarians will turn out to vote in the country's referendum, to answer a question put by the ruling Fidesz Government’s on whether or not they will accept migrant quotas.

The referendum was called in response to a suggestion by the EU that a quota system could be used to distriibute asylum seekers around the block to help ease pressure of the migrant crisis on some western EU nations.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is campaigning for the answer to be ‘no’ as he tells his people they will not be ordered around by Brussels.

And the latest polls suggest that at least two-thirds of the electorate agree with him.

Politicians in the capital Budapest have backed up the numbers, but warned Orban is playing a dangerous game.

Voter turnout was too low for this to be binding, so the EU will try to block it.

Hungary is one of the few countries to actually have their “stuff” together. Travelled there last year. Wonderful country, AND the people have not forgotten the atrocities levied on them in the past by communism.

Apparently not, as it seems to just be the accepting migrants they are rejecting. They should just leave, but they are not Britain economy wise. I wonder if the EU will even accept this referendum, unless of course it is yes.

It’s good that the Hungarians rejected the EU mandating forced resettlement Middle East, among which many are indeed terrorists. Just ask the French. They found out the hard way.

Is there any polling from someplace reputable?

If you know the origin of Pew Research (or have ever examined their methodology) the validity of the question is self explanatory.

This is not a problem for the EU they’re already flying in a California judge who will rule this referendum unconstitutional.

The EU is a fascist construct. Its Germany’s 4th Reich.

Get the USA out of NATO to stop providing security for it.

I read the memoirs of quite a few Wehrmacht soldiers (’landsers’) on the subject of ‘Why we fight’.
They considered Germany to have united Europe, thought we Anglo-Americans were run by globalist bankers and couldn’t understand why we were allied with the bolshviks.

Hungarians got Orban elected twice in a row, currently his party holds 2/3 of seats in the Parliament. The reason why people there hold a favorable view of EU is (among other things) that it enables them to freely travel across Europe, which is a quite big thing in the region full of countries with the size of greater LA, especially when just a generation ago people there were struggling to get a passport issued unless they were some sort of commie party VIPs. It has nothing to do with love for leading EUnuchs or Merkel. The only folks who claim so, are the ones getting hard seeing pictures of shirtless Putin.

To asses approach of general population, one would have to ask a set of questions regarding multi-cult, global warming, taxes, abortion etc. Then results would be totally different. Additionally, in many member states EU is criticized from the left, that it is... too capitalistic etc. For instance, Greeks loved EU when it was just a tool for their far left governments to get tonnes of cheap credit, they didn't start hating it until EU forced them to repay it.
