Greensboro, N.C. - A Greensboro police officer was stripped of his law enforcement credentials last week, after the release of police body camera footage that showed him violently arresting a man for sitting on his own porch.
Police body cameras have been in the news in Charlotte, involving the fatal shooting by a police officer of Keith Lamont Scott.

However, I can't understand why he was not changed with assault and kidnapping, and imprisoned for it.
Stupid cop assaulted a man for being on his property.
They should have asked if he lived there and moved on.
No need to make to make it a capital case.
This is why I get nervous when I am outstanding in my field...
After all the publicity of LEO’s doing stupid things you’d think they’d stop and think/analyze what they’re doing. Idiots like this give a bad mark to those that are contentious in doing their job professionally.
both cops quit. It looks like someone tried to have charges made. Looks like the D.A. might have to take another look.
“The district attorney refused the councils request to file criminal charges against the officer, saying he wouldnt rehash the same evidence, the Greensboro News & Record reported.”

Sacramento Bee reporting on something 3000 miles away?

With the advent of bodycams for officers the complaints against them have dropped about 98%. How well it is working to keep officers from crossing the thin blue line in line, I have no idea.
He even told them to ask his neighbor Charlie to verify he lived there.
And they would not.
One a$$hole cop makes an a$$hole move, in a country of 300,000,000 people and gets fired for it...hey I got great idea, lets burn the city down, and loot!!!
I suggest bodycams for all politicians and make all of their communications public. That way they’ll think twice about scamming the public like they have for the past 100 years at least.
They reprinted a Charlotte Observer article.
The combined body cam videos were too long to sit all the way through, but I know why police were called. The guy had a shovel trying to lift the garage door, he said to check on the dog. He was being cooperative as far as I watched it, not combative, not trying to leave the scene, but was starting to get annoyed at the repeated questioning. He called his mother’s cell so she could confirm that he was her son and that she knew he was sitting on the porch waiting for her to return. Got voicemail.
Dejuan Yourse.
Police called to investigate possible break-in.
Yourse is sitting on the porch.
*He tries to walk away.*
Cops detain him.
America’s not Mayberry any more.

This is just the type of case and video that is used to further incite violence through the BLM movement. Two White cops violently arresting a black man sitting quietly on a front porch. Although the charges were dropped and the cops either resigned or fired, I would suspect that is not the end of it. There will probably be a lawsuit and some violence somewhere sparked by this case.
They have done this for so many decades that the inertia is still to strong to reform quickly.
My brother in law on the Fort Worth police department will eventually be filmed and wind up on one of these threads.
Well, it's Barney Fife pumped up with anabolic steroids.
“Wouldn’t rehash the same evidence?”
There should be a lawsuit.
This is beyond shameful.
This was BS. Nothing about the guys demeanor indicated that he was a perp. Behavior in trying to pry open the garage was odd, but the cops refusal to ask the neighbors who he was is telling. There were 2 cops: no reason one couldn’t knock on a couple doors.
Upshot: one jackass cop, two careers ended, and endless fuel added to the fire. And now there is an idiot prosecutor running interference on top of it.
