As many as 20 dead people applied to vote in Harrisonburg

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Harrisonburg officials have confirmed that about 20 voter applications in the swing state of Virginia were recently sent in under the names of dead people.

Harrisonburg Registrar Debbie Logan told news outlets Thursday that investigators have found 18 to 20 potentially fraudulent registrations.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2dwFsQ9 ) reports the applications were turned in by a voter registration group called HarrisonburgVOTES. The group could not be reached for comment Thursday.
