Trump broke Cuban embargo, report says [Miami media going crazy]
Miami Herald ^ | 9/29/16 | PATRICIA MAZZEI

Donald Trump’s hotel and casino company secretly spent money trying to do business in Cuba in violation of the U.S. trade embargo, Newsweek reported Thursday in a story that could endanger the Republican presidential nominee’s Cuban-American support in South Florida. Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts paid at least $68,000 to a consulting firm in late 1998 in an

Yes, while actions tell a story. There is a huge difference of a politician and a businessman.

For instance, his views on the Iraq war is a non subject (although already proven he did NOT support). He was not a politician, had no classified Intel, no briefings. It just doesn’t matter.

These people are stupid. Their 20 year old story will change nothing

Just look at how Obama made it to the White House. It was not by his great leadership. It was thru nasty, ugly campaigning.

you yawn but maybe some cubans won’t. when the msm is working 24/7 they can be devastating.

we are literally watching for the first time the complete and utter throwing off of the facade of unbiased reporting.

yawning. We should be terrified and planning.

Black market, I’m sure.

Have you ever seen “The Propaganda Game”? It streams on netflix. Amazing film about the regime of propaganda in North Korea.

Although I am not a Putinista, like some on FR, I see no reason not to explore common ground with Russia, such as our joint interest in fighting Islamic extremism. As for Cuba, 50+ years of sanctions against Cuba achieved no results beneficial to the US. The Castros are still in power, and both we and the Cuban people are worse off because of the unrealized gains from trade between our countries. As I understand it, Trump paid a consulting firm to explore potential business opportunities In Cuba *in the event sanctions were relaxed or lifted*. What is the crime in that?

Russia is simply seizing the opportunity Obama gave them to grab a strategic foothold in the resource-rich Middle East. If Obama was serious about going after ISIS, which I don’t believe he ever was, we likely wouldn’t be in this situation, worrying about Russian expansionism in the region. I actually think Obama did what he did here deliberately, for the precise purpose of giving the Russians that opportunity, despite the public smoke and mirrors BS.

I agree that Russia is exploiting a power vacuum in the Middle East caused by Obama’s withdrawal of US forces in the region. I think it’s a stretch, though, to claim that Obama wanted to increase Russian influence in the region. I don’t believe that Obama thought through the consequences of his long-held desire to extract our troops from Iraq. As for Syria, we are making the same mistake there that we made in Libya and in Egypt, supporting the MB-led “Arab Spring.”. Fortunately, the Egytian military was still strong enough to reverse the initial events in Egypt.

Somebody tweet that excerpt to Trump. I don’t tweet. We have to work together to keep him up to date with short answers to the hit pieces so he’s not overburdened.

I recall something DT said in his book AOTDeal. He said he always scouted all the potentials ahead of any deal making he wanted. He wanted always to be prepared. I hope he will use that trait to prepare for the next two debates.

I expect he will. He has established that he can take it as well as give it. Hillary has struck the first blow so he can now hit back without being accused of bullying (at least by rational people which does not include Dems or their sycophantic media). Her acting intimidated worked very well for her in the debate with Rick Lazio years ago.

Positive spin: he was ahead of the curve, exploring what would happen if the embargo was lifted, he wanted to be ready.
He was just doing what a successful, resourceful businessperson would do. Thinking ahead and formulating game plans. Speaking of questionable business tactics has anyone looked into one of Her Heinious' big supporters, Warren Buffet? Ever have one of those annoying Kirby salesman knock at your door to offer to clean your carpeting for "free"? And then turn a simple 20 minute demonstration into hours of high pressure sales tactics to sell you a way overpriced vacuum cleaner with finance terms that would embarrass a loan shark? Kirby is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, this goes on under Buffet's watch. Buffet is supposedly superior to Trump when it comes to financial and business acumen, yet he allows one of his subsidiaries to implement such an outdated, sleazy business model.

20 trillion in debt and growing bigger each year and this is the kind of stuff they want to decide elections over?

Man, they are digging up ancient dirt about Trump, but it would be “improper” for Trump to bring up the hundreds of Clinton scandals from the nineties. The media truly disgusts me.

Basically, he was thinking ahead of the curve. If the U.S. was improving in relation to Cuba, he would take advantage of the situation.

We need to think ahead, which is what Trump was doing. Too bad plenty of people do not have the brains to spot intelligence on planet Earth.

Trump breaks embargo on Cuba? So frickin’ what. Zero went to Pakistan when American citizens were prohibited from travelling there. Oh wait, maybe he wasn’t an American citizen then.
