Trump and Clinton tangled over the economy, her use of a private mail server and his unwillingness to release his income tax returns on Monday night.
They engaged in a vigorous back-and-forth on the debate stage at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, as polls showed them locked in a tight race.
However, after the debate's end, polls conducted by a number of media websites showed their readers felt the real estate mogul came out on top.
Trump acknowledged the result, tweeting: 'Wow, did great in the debate polls (except for @CNN - which I don't watch). Thank you!'

Just as in the primaries, the MSM said Trump lost the debate. And the voters are saying otherwise.
The Cnn poll was supposedly ‘scientific’, but how scientific is it to pick out voters ahead of time, even if you have 500 of them. And how scientific is it to have something like a 41/26 democrat/republican split.
This is a laughable ruse pretending that it’s scientific. They don’t even give you male/female or black/white/Hispanic.
It’s just a joke.
I kind of had the overall feeling that:
Hillary had everything to lose....and didn’t.
Trump had everything to gain....and didn’t.
However, I realize that is setting a very high hurtle for Trump in a first ever debate.
I wonder how many of those polls were FReeped?

I’m kinda with you, at least regarding part of his performance. But this is comparing the two. i.e. as bad as some of his supporters thought he did, Hillary did even worse. But she was bad in different ways.

People watched helplessly these last four years as the magic ------ screwed this nation up something fierce. Here was the first Black president destroying the nation, and even people of his own race (well half-way anyway) over.
Nobody is in the mood to replace him with the first Woman (well half-way anyway) who will do the same danged things.
Her administration would in effect be Obama's third term. Of course she would bring her own special magic to make things even worse.
Folks may not like the idea of it, but Donald Trump is all they have to avoid the magic numskull.

Trump pointed out that that's the same song and dance they have been selling for 30+ years and things are the same or worse.
Even the democratic slaves in the inner city are starting to figure it out.
I share the same thoughts. Trump's oodles better than Hillary, but I'm just doing all I can to like the guy, but his demeanor/persona is almost like sandpaper to me.
I think to myseff....seff, is this the best we can do in America? Seems I said the same exact thing regarding McCain and Romney. Is this it? The best of the best?
