Lester never called her on it, and Trump, ever the gentleman, did not either.
Not sure which happened first but he made his statement during the first question (he spoke second).
It only hurts her though. Everyone noticed that Trump was respectful, even to his enemy, while she was a petty vindictive b-word. That doesn’t make her seem presidential.
illary was the one manipulated into showing her true self, and The Donald did it so easily and quickly that the punditocracy has yet to catch it!
Even a little scratch of the carefully pasted on veneer of a leftist commie reveals the haughty, arrogant, condescending truth about them. Donald made a tiny scrape, and she spilled out the rest of the evening in her haughty lowness.
I also thought I heard him say “Hillary” once. But yes, mostly Sec. Clinton.
I think it made him come across as respectful and polite and it made her come across as condescending and elitist and as if she were saying the word as a putdown.
That may have played well with her hard core supporters who will vote for her no matter what. But for the average person, particularly the undecided, it makes her look like a colossal arrogant jerk.
I noticed that but my take was that it was a good thing because it makes him more approachable and they can’t make him the “evil rich guy.”
That’s okay...in a few short weeks she’ll be calling him “Mister President.”
Go sit down, Hillary. Your 15 minutes have long since expired.
I was hoping to hear him call her “Mrs. Clinton” repeatedly. A reminder that she was an appendage for much of her public life.
but she wants to be known as Hillary...
that’s what they put on everything...her yardsigns, bumper stickers, the logo is H...etc
He could have called her Hillary all the way through but he didn’t...
hes such a class act, a gentleman, polite, ...his manners regardless of how much she goaded him shone through...
He should have turned to her and said. “For you, it is MR. Trump.”
And *that* was his primary objective for this first engagement. He was, first, and foremost, attempting to destroy the meme set by the Dems, and their lapdog media. This he accomplished, he achieved his objective, and the results bear this out.
Advantage: DJT...
the infowarrior
The entire news media referred to The President or Mr. Bush only very rarely did they ever refer to President Bush.
I was thinking he was calling her Secretary Clinton to remind everyone what a complete failure she was in that job. Evil man /s
That’s a debater’s trick to show dominance.
Trump was walking a fine line to not disrespect her. Like it or not, folks still think women shouldn’t be disrespected.
She has a very powerful ad out about him and women. [eg. Trump says, “She’s a fat pig” and they show a fat woman, not Rosie O’Donnell. That will resonate with fat women. And other clips of him that were problematical are also offset with ordinary women photos.]
She was smug, smirky and condescending all night long!
She WAS!!!
We would ALL love to do this; too!
But the fact is; we cannot.
The image HAS to on the WEB - somewhere.
I've never had to do that.
I would appreciate it if he would address me as “Colonel” or “Sir.” I believe I’ve earned it.
