The screencap says it all . . . on today’s Morning Joe, reacting to last night’s presidential debate, Mika Brzezinski was nothing short of despondent.
Brzezinski repeatedly argued that although Hillary was “amazing,” did “great,” etc., it is Donald Trump who walked away the winner politically because he was able to “connect” with the concerns of broad swaths of the electorate. Readers are encouraged to view the video to understand the depths of Mika’s despair.

I don’t see it happening, and i don’t think she realizes the full consequence of a majorly pissed off greater portion of America that refuses to kiss her feet.
Keep in mind who MSNBC viewers are. She did us a great service in keeping them discouraged with Clinton.
Even if she “won” she lost it seems. Will her performance matter in a week?
Hillary was as a cyborg (hologram?)... programmed with media talking points software. Lester Holt did as his media bosses (”owners”?) instructed and sought to protect her as she prattled on with her vacuous platitudes. Sadly. Trump missed some hanging curve balls like: “Hillary, you’re the poster child for cyber insecurity... without your incompetence in the matter none would have known of your private illegal unsecured server”. Alas, next time?
Their pain amuses me. I’m suppose that doesn’t say anything good about me as a person.

If you score it like a boxing match, Hillary won on points, with the help of the ref. However, this is a new type of debate and no one really knows how it will be scored by people.
I wanted Trump to do better. He missed some good opportunities, but tried too hard to be a gentleman. Hillary’s smugness and cackle was gross. That woman scares me.
So, only about 1000 people watch MSNBC, the extremist, Koolaid drinkers, hard core HuffPo, Slate, Vox, etc.
So for her to say this is amazing.
So, today’s cup of Joe was D’licious.
Mika forgot the primaries already. After ever debate Trump got all the online votes. The debate and the polls are two different things.
They both failed at their mission, take voters from the other one. Thank God her failure hurts her more. She needed a “You are no JFK” moment but she can’t do that without looking like Nurse Wratched which is impossible and her lame attempts to produce one dangerously exposed this weakness. While many of us dispair he did not parry one of those moments into such a moment for him, he might have been wise to not do so.
He let her voters see him be restrained and as painful as it was for us it might have actually served him well. Time will tell. It is, indeed, encouraging to see her supporters see her performance as a “win” but...fail.
Just as good as Michael Moore getting hacked off because Hillary was promoting her book instead of using her long knives.
Exactly my impressions. After lots of primary debates it’s clear that Beltway Pundits don’t understand why Trump wins when he loses “on points”. Mike is “getting it”.
