They both failed at their mission, take voters from the other one. Thank God her failure hurts her more. She needed a “You are no JFK” moment but she can’t do that without looking like Nurse Wratched which is impossible and her lame attempts to produce one dangerously exposed this weakness. While many of us dispair he did not parry one of those moments into such a moment for him, he might have been wise to not do so.
He let her voters see him be restrained and as painful as it was for us it might have actually served him well. Time will tell. It is, indeed, encouraging to see her supporters see her performance as a “win” but...fail.
Trump has a cold, was taking decongestants for sniffles which made him feel under the weather and thirsty. He wanted to stay on issues until she stood right in front of him and attacked him and lied about his plan and record. Trump’s honor can’t take that. Hopefully, he’ll feel better soon.
He did amazingly well considering that #crookedHillary was standing right there in front of him waving a red cape.
