In a long and often rambling discussion following a contentious interview on Monday with Senator Ted Cruz, radio host Glenn Beck criticized the Texas Senators justifications for finally endorsing Republican nominee Donald Trump. The radio talker even declared at one point that he should have backed Senator Marco Rubio for president, instead of throwing his full support to Cruz in the GOP primary.
Beck grilled Cruz over his decision to back Trump after declining to do so on principle when he suspended his campaign and when he addressed the RNC convention in Cleveland.
This weekend, you wouldnt answer the question if Donald Trump is fit to be president of the United States, Beck said to Cruz.
What I said is this is a binary choice, Cruz replied. I wish it were not a binary choice. As you know, I tried very, very hard as did you to prevent it from being a binary choice from Hillary and Donald Trump. And I think it is fair to say there was no other Republican candidate who left more on the field and did more to stop Donald from being the nominee than I did. But the voters made a different decision. And you have to respect the democratic process, even if you may not be terribly happy with the outcome.

Beck’s really gone off the rails;
When he had that tv show on Fox and did some other things, I liked him.
Beck more than about anyone, is an entertainer for his radio show.
But he’s laughing all the way to the bank, he’s had successful books I guess and so on.
Some of what Glenn does seems to be recycling info from decades ago, like what the old Freedom Talk radio shows were with Melvin Munn; nothing wrong with that and Glenn was pretty good in telling us all about the Caliphate which I had no idea of either back in those days.
He’s just become inconsistent.
Send Glen Beck packing to Salt Lake City...
Beck has some issues.
It should not be about winning; it’s just about being right.
I backed Ted Cruz. I had what I considered good reasons for doing so, and I posted those reason logically and politely. I even argued for why Cruz was a better choice than Trump, and I still have concerns about Trump based on the issues I pointed out. As we have all seen, I was wrong. I wasn’t a little wrong; I was completely and totally out to lunch wrong. I was as wrong as the people in Florida who voted for Rubio for US Senate thinking he would keep his word.
Beck isn’t wrong in that way. Beck is wrong in the “I’ll take my ball and go pout at home” way, a spoiled brat who is mad that Cruz isn’t joining him to grumble for the entire walk home. Beck is mad that Cruz would rather see his rival, Trump, win than see Trump crushed by Hillary . . . even if he would then see each of us crushed by that remorseless tyrant in turn. This should not be about personal pride. This is our last chance (short of a civil war) to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution against all enemies. Just as Cruz gave his word that he would support the nominee, I gave my word that I would protect that document against all enemies. Your word should matter. Beck’s word doesn’t.

Beck talks a lot about serving an entire new audience.
He’ll either sell Snake Oil in Utah with End of the World stuff, or he’ll market to Liberals as - I can tell you what they think, I used to be one of them.
It’s all about the money.
Sometimes the little people can beat city hall.....
It makes sense that Beck’s communications empire is called The Blaze, because he is going down in flames.
Exactly..At this point,it is all about saving what empire he has left..After Trump wins, how many people will listen to beck rant about Trump being Hitler
its not what I like but it is what it is....
what's funny is that all these years freepers could not back anyone unless they were pure conseverative...thus so many candidates, like Rudy, were simply driven away...
but now with Trump, who is nothing near a conservative, and liberal on all the social issues, all of a sudden there are no questions, no ifs, ands, or buts to answer too.....everybody is all in.
its good to see the cohesiveness finally, after all these years.....
for this nation to survive going forward, we better leave the petty little attitudes behind and unite behind a solid candidate, even if they aren't pure....
the end justifies the means...
Vote Trump!
Beck is still on? They threw his ass off the radio here and replaced him with Laura Ingraham. Woot!
Beck has totally lost his marbles....I feel sad for him
I thought God told Glenn to go all in for Ted.
I guess God got it wrong after all.
I have to conclude that Glenn is smarter than God.
Beck settled with the Saudi who sued him
Beck is being sued by former employee for driving company into the dirt
Everyone else has been hasbeens.
Some day they’re gonna toss a net over that man. He was a slightly better than mediocre comic whose own success destroyed him when he began believing his own press releases. He’s Lenny Bruce without the heroin.
“He called a fellow broadcasters wife while on air in AZ and gave his congrats to the guys wife on their having a miscarriage.”
He did that??? My god, how vile. Too bad he wasn’t on the receiving end of a serious beatdown.
That water has LONG passed under the bridge.
Who is he 'supporting' now?
No Glenn; you should be 'backing' the REAL Jesus!
