Its beyond debate that Donald Trump is unfit to be president
By Editorial Board September 25 at 7:17 PM
DEMOCRAT HILLARY CLINTON and Republican Donald Trump will debate on national television for the first time Monday night, and the stakes could not be higher. The presidency and, by extension, the countrys future maybe the worlds could hinge on what they say and how they say it.
Or so we have been told in breathless pre-event speculation about everything from whether the moderator, NBCs Lester Holt, will intervene to correct a candidate who strays from the truth, to whether one candidate or the other will be able to goad his or her opponent into a campaign-altering gaffe before an audience expected to reach 100 million.
Permit us to dissent from this conventional wisdom, vigorously. Yes, Monday nights clash, and two additional debates to follow, will add drama to the election, and a bit more data to the massive pile of it already available to voters. In a fundamental sense, however, there is nothing much at stake, or shouldnt be, because there is not much more to learn: Mr. Trump has amply demonstrated his unworthiness to occupy the Oval Office. Its beyond his capacity in the upcoming 90-minute question-and-answer sessions to reverse or even substantially modify that conclusion.

Anthropogenic Global Warming? It’s beyond debate.
Joseph McCarthy as demagogue and trampler of innocents? It’s beyond debate.
Hillary Clinton’s state of health? It’s beyond debate.
Donald Trump’s un-fitness to be President? It’s beyond debate.
Anyone see a pattern here?
Any time liberals want to steamroll something they cannot debate intellectually, they piously intone “It’s beyond debate”, signalling that only a dimwit would deign to doubt their expertise that it is a settled issue.
I used to pick up an occasional copy of the detestable Boston Globe, because I used newspaper and vinegar to clean the windows in my car, but...as with everything else associated with the liberal rags, it isn’t even fit for that anymore.
It turns into a mushy pulp now when it gets wet.
I say good. I will celebrate the day they declare bankruptcy.
The MSM types should stop complaining. Most folks who follow their apparently chosen “profession” have to perform it on their knees in airport men’s rooms.
Okay, let’s crown him King. lol Oh, I forgot, the job is not for life only 4 years with an option of 4 more if voted in.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
cheery way to start the day
Nothing is beyond debate. Newtons law of Gravity was revised by Einstein.
I expect Trump knows exactly what he’ll do. He has a very smart brain.
And it’s all about background, background, background. Not a word about who can get things done and create order out of chaos.
The banality of evil.
Suppose Trump continues to reject the status quo? Suppose he sues them all for antitrust and get them broken up. Then how would it be?
I actually still buy this rag on Sundays, for the coupons and to line my pigeon cages. Ill have to stop even that.
Check your grocery store’s online site. You can sign up for automatic coupons for lots of products you like. And get someone who works at a school or office to save a bag of junk paper for the bird cage?
Not a Newspaper. It's the Jeff Bezos blog.
Thanks! We do the store card sign-up thing - but did you know that those, and online coupons, don’t get doubled, like the clipped ones do? At least not here.
Also, Coupon Mom is a good site. I haven’t used it in a while, but it used to be one of the few that don’t stick a ribbon on your desktop when you download the printer app.
Wouldn’t take impeachment with Trump. If he goes too far Pence could say Trump went nuts and invoke the 25th to take over and the Rats & Rinos in Congress would join to make it so. Fat chance they’d do the same to Hillary. Unlike Clintons, past and future, and Obama, Trump will face checks and balances.
Truly.
Oh I remember the doubling! You are right, the online ones don’t have that. :(
I know a few Hillary supporters. HOW CAN THEY SUPPORT THIS MONSTER?
I think they sell blank newsprint paper at Michaels. No idea of the cost.
Thanks!
