No-fly zone would ‘require war with Syria and Russia’ – top US general
Russia Today ^ | September 22nd, 2016 | Unattributed

Speaking to the US Senate, the Pentagon’s leaders blamed Russia for the Aleppo aid convoy attack, but admitted they “had no facts.” Only US coalition planes should be allowed over Syria, they said, though that would require war against both Syria and Russia.

Defense Secretary Ash Carter and General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, faced the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday to report on the ongoing military operations and “national security challenges” faced by the US. They also asked the senators for more reliable funding, saying the uncertainty was hurting the defense industry.

“Not only our people – our defense industry partners, too, need stability and longer-term plans to be as efficient and cutting-edge as we need them to be,” Carter told the senators.

The lawmakers were far less interested in the war against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) than about the future of the Syrian government, Iran’s “malign influence,” and “aggression” by China and Russia – all ranked far ahead of terrorism on Carter and Dunford’s list of security challenges.

The Pentagon had “no intention” of sharing intelligence with Russia when it came to Syria, Dunford told the lawmakers unequivocally. Secretary Carter explained that the joint implementation councils envisioned by the ceasefire proposal negotiated in Geneva wouldn’t share intelligence, just coordinate efforts – but that they were a moot point anyway, since the ceasefire was effectively dead.

There's a direct quote of Dunford in this article where he says it would require going to war with Syria and Russia to impose a no-fly zone.

Both Clinton and Trump have supported no-fly and/or no-go zones in Syria in the past and they should both be asked about in about 25 hours.

Iran is also an ally of Syrian and Russian and involved in the war. So war with Iran, too.
And probably with some of the former Republics that would ally with Russia. Chechnya has thousands of special forces fighting in Syria.
China if taking sides would probably side with Russia, who is taking care of Chinese Uighur muslims fighting with IS and al Qaeda in Syria

At least the price of oil will go back up. Makes you wonder what everyone’s motives are.

This would be GREAT to pin on Hillary tomorrow. I have heard multiple democrats and a few GOPe (McCain, Linda Graham) insist we impose a No Fly Zone.

Ask her if she is for one, and then spring this General’s quote on her!

Game, Match, Set!

I’m not afraid of the Russians and even if they ally with Iran and China—we could have peace on the other side of war; however, that means we go to war only when we must, and more importantly, on our terms, when we’re ready.

Now we are NOT ready.

Let me explain Aleppo for those of you in Loma Linda. Aleppo is in Syria. Syria is governed by its elected leader ,Assad. There are a group of insurgents supported by ISIS. The Syrian Army is fighting these outlaws. The sovereign Syrians called in and invited Russia to assist in their killing of ISIS and their friends. . This wrecked the plans of the globalist and the McCain heads and they are very frustrated because Assad is just kicking the crap out of the outlaws in Aleppo and it is frustrating the one world new world order folks, So they want to take your money ( or print some more to devaluate your money) and use your children to go kill the Russians. ABSOLUTE MADNESS!!

Yeah, they're humorlessly dispassionate about most things.

The important part of the article, and the reason I posted it, is the quote from Dunford over the objection of McCain.

I hadn't read the transcript of the hearing and I didn't see it in US media at all.

And it's very important to the American people.

Russia actually has a well supplied and killer military. We have a giant social integration experiment with faggots, women and sexual deviates mixed in . We wouldn’t last for 3 days. What did Syria do to US???

Syria is a soverign nation that the US is not at war with

The US is at war with Islamic terrorism, al-qaeda and ISIS which are all one and the same

The only valid reason the US has for going to war with Syria is that Syria is collaborating with al-qaeda/ISIS in the Islamic Jihad

Syria WAS doing this during the Iraq insurgency but now Syria is at war with ISIS/ al -Qeada not that the ex Iraqi insurgents are trying to take over Syria with the help of Obama and Hillary Clinton's Arab Spring coup team

We should be on the side of Syria and Russia but Obama is abusing an obsolete CIA program intended to defeat the al-Qeada insurgents using Syria as a safe haven and Obama is now using that CIA program to provide aid and comfort to the al-Qeada / ISIS the program was originally intended to destroy

We live in Bizzro world because President Obama figured out that if he could re name the defeated al-Qaeda forces in Syria as Syrian ISIS rebels , he could have the CIA turn their coats and arm, train, supply and equip the defeated al-Qaeda forces that retreated to Syria and get away with it legally and openly

this is likely the establishment’s staging of a US v Russia military conflict for the sole purpose of canceling the Nov 8 election. Wars are what the ruling establishment does to ensure their hold on power.

What did Syria do to US?

Nothing that I can remember. I seem to remember them killing a lot of Al Queda and ISIS jihadis which used to be our enemies but I'm a bit confused about that - from watching the news I'm getting the impression that ISIS and Al Queda are our friends now and we need to help them in their fight against the elected govt of Syria. But what do I know...

Re: Russia Today (RT)

"RT [Russia Today] has been called a propaganda outlet for the Russian government[10][11][12] and its foreign policy[10][11][13][14] by former Russian officials[15] and by news reporters,[16] including former RT reporters.[17][18][19]

It has also been accused of spreading disinformation.[20][21][22]

The United Kingdom media regulator Ofcom has threatened RT with sanctions because of repeated violations of its rules on impartiality.[23]

The network states that it offers a 'Russian perspective' on global events.[24]"

I wonder if Congress has a Constitutional role in such matters.

"rules on impartiality," that's a good one considering the source.

Well sure... we need defense contractors to have a stable and long term environment. Un-freakin-believable.
