ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
I think there is still 25% undecided. Just my observations of those around me. I think they’ll vote Trump because Hillery is so bad, but they still need his campaigning to secure their vote.
No questions about her server
No questions about her charity
No questions about her destroying email under subpoena
No questions about anything that would be damaging to Clinton.
But Holt tried three times to make Trump’s prior questions about Obama a race issue.
sorry, didn’t see your other posts on answering that. Not quite a speed reader and skimming a little too trying to read everything.
Yes, she has been doing that for a few appearances now. Speaks a perfect phrase, pauses as if to think, and finishes the sentence as if it was written by a writer. That is not how people speak off the cuff.
If anyone knows him, please pass that along to him. LOL.
Thanks for the link!

Wow that’s right! Hope Limbaugh or Drudge throw that out as a headline.
It won’t have any impact. However, he had lots of untouched material.
I think you summed it up very well.
Probably as a politician.. you make a good point. When I see them next, I'll ask them. I already texted back that he is like "one of us" -- vs the smug, corrupt career politician -- and that he did a great job for his first ever Presidential debate.
That's *great news* about the Luntz group! :-)
I don't pay attention to online polls... they're pretty much meaningless.
Don't get me wrong: I'm a card-carrying conservative, NRA member, etc. But when I watch these debates, I tend to watch them from the point of view of an Independent voter. I admit I'm always worried about how the Republican appears to the Independents / undecided voters.
He made face, he was mostly on the defensive, and he missed a whole bunch of opportunities to really nail her.
For whatever reason, those two don’t look like they are very happy at all.
Don't worry. It will come out Trump 95% Clinton 5%. His polls are usually useless.
Why do you even bother looking at it. It's a rare Clinton voter that would visit Drudge during a Hillary appearance.
Tinfoil hat time. Did anyone else notice that Holt scolded the audience once early on for applauding Trump, and then allowed more and more applause for Clinton as the evening went on? Also did anyone notice the little soft “blips” of negative response to Clinton? Almost like they were muted out by the sound engineer?
Trump’s vocabulary really does seem to top out around grade 4 or 5.
Not necessarily. With over 2/3 of the people distrusting the media, but (from what I’ve seen) more or less believing the aggregate of polls, a public perception that Trump did at least ok may be good enough. And I suspect DT is plenty smart enough to, on the one hand, say publicly “Look at how we did in poll X, Y, or Z!”, and in private, with his advisors, plan the next steps.
I looked at NJ.com,
Trump way ahead.
And ShelbyStar, Trump ahead, 63-68 percent said he won.
