On the eve of the first presidential debate, a new Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll shows a narrow gap between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump amid rising support for Trump within his own party....
In a four-way matchup, Clinton leads by 2 points, at 40 percent to Trump's 38 percent. Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson dropped to 8 percent down from 14 percent a week ago and Green Party nominee Jill Stein went from 5 to 3 percent.

The Morning Call is the Allentown PA fish wrap. They are totally in the can for Hillary. The local news carrier has been giving us free samples for about 3 months now. I really hate that newspaper.
I live in Carbon which is right between Northampton and Luzerne. I see nothing but Trump signs as I travel around.
Sort of the other way around. Morning Call (a newspaper) did the poll with the help of Muhlenburg College.
Also, don’t forget independence or breaking big for Trump and they are just as large a group as either the Republicans or the Democrats. This pool is crap.
Expect a big tightening as the election girls near because they have reputations to defend.
Spend more money, Hillary. Lots more money on Pennsylvania. Money will buy you victory. It’s working so good. How could you possibly lose?/s
If voters come out in the conservative “T” in PA (look at state and superimpose a T over it) and the Phila. and Pittsburgh suburbs (Arlen Specter’s former coalition) go about 50/50, Trump can win PA.
Last couple of elections, the conservative voters there have not been that enthused about the GOP candidates and Obama got 100%+ of the Phila. city vote, so it was no contest.
I wouldn’t count on PA. I think CO is easier pickings.
Which is why I guess as low as 3%, which is still a large increase for him. The problem is alot of people to do not like Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. The negative MSM news and political ads reinforce that opinion.
See 49.
Trump will take PA comfortably. She doesn’t have the support or enthusiasm to come out of Philly with nearly enough votes to carry the state. I don’t think she’ll put 2.5 M votes to total in the box in PA
Any republican that votes for Hillary should be required to change their registration to Democrat. Hillary despises republicans. Time for them to come to terms with their idiocy.
“By election day, 99 percent of the vote will be between Trump and Crooked Hillary. “
I keep hearing in the media and on polls that most of Johnson’s vote is from Hillary. This is not good news if true. As people switch from Johnson, realizing their throwing away a vote, it could help the beast.
I’m not seeing it though. As Johnson’s vote declines, Trump’s improves. Especially when factoring out the ridiculous D+10 tilt.
James Carville once described Pennsylvania as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and Alabama in between.
BHO won PA by only 1 percent more than his national margin. I must believe Trump has more appeal there than Hillary. All we need is FL, OH and PA and it’s over.
If Trump pulls at least 15% of the Black vote, and judging from what we saw at Trump’s rally at the FL state fairgrounds last month is quite conceivable, then stick a fork in Her Heinous, she’s done!
“Any republican that votes for Hillary should be required to change their registration to Democrat.”
Actually any AMERICAN who votes for Hillary should be sent to a home for the mentally defective.
