Police pleaded with the public for help identifying a gunman who fled after killing four women and a man at a Washington state mall Friday night.
As authorities determine a motive, they said Saturday that there was no immediate evidence the attack was terror-related.
The suspect, dressed in a black T-shirt and black shorts, was seen on surveillance footage at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, about 65 miles north of Seattle, where he opened fire inside a Macy's department store.
Authorities don't know his whereabouts or identity, but believe he is a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s.
"Hopefully people who know and recognize this individual will help us," Mt. Vernon Lt. Chris Cammock said at a Saturday morning news conference.

“He starts getting into trouble and presto theres a shooting to drive it out of the news cycle. Like clockwork.”
Or something the press blows up into a catastrophe, conveniently.
What is funny is on Drudge they have an image of the perp on the left side of the page and on the right there is an image of Assad. Neither of the 2 look Hispanic to me.
It is unfortunate they keep calling him Hispanic because this sets a false narrative. Suppose someone sees the guy at the 7-11 for example and think well maybe that is the guy however since they are being told he is Hispanic they may say oh that is not him as he is not Hispanic. Double fake out.
So did the muslims in NY. He does not look “hispanic” to me.
“Same thing happened through the whole of 0bamas residency. He starts getting into trouble and presto theres a shooting to drive it out of the news cycle. Like clockwork.”
Noted.
Absolutely correct. The man definitely appeared to be Middle Eastern and definitely not of Mesoamerica origins. However calling a terrorist murderer “Hispanic” is consistent with the Obama politically correct narrative. There must be no mention of the word “Islamic” or even “terrorist”. Talk about a soft target. This guy had real guts to shoot defenseless women in the women’s clothing area at Macys. Not likely to be many off duty cops in that area.
When life or death is just a matter of minutes, the Po Po are asking for help finding the perp the next day.
They dont want this to be a terrorist attack, not again, not right before the debate..I am shocked they showed the man’s picture people can see right away he is NOT “Hispanic” remember, after the San Bernardino shooting people described the two perps as “Two White Men wearing camouflage”
He looks Middle Eastern, not Hispanic.
Notice how all the other leftist-protected classes (in this case, Hispanic/illegal) are all being sacrificed to protect Muslims at all costs?
So was he yelling “Dios es grande” or “Allahu Akbar” while he shot innocent strangers? We are being told here in Washington that there was no connection to terrorism.
They keep saying it’s Hispanic so that he can get out of the country safely through the Canadian border
That’s my best guess
It’s easier blame it on Hispanics than Muslims - the consequences are less severe.
They id’d him as Hispanic because that county is overrun with illegal aliens working agricultural jobs. A large proportion of the violent crime in that area is committed by illegals.
I see it as well. That’s no Hispanic. Skin coloring says it too.
Definately more ‘rab than Mexican mestizo.
Its like this, blame it on a Hispanic, you can blame Guns, call for gun control, if the perp is a Muslim, and its terrorism, cant really blame guns anymore so the media either drops the story or blames America
Half the nation is praying for the victims. The other hald if praying it’s not a Mulsim.
You are responsible to protect yourself. The Popos are there to remove proven anti-socials to limit their capability to repeat the behavior. The Popo response is still valuable to Society.
This has absolutely nothing at all to do with Islam which is a religion of peace.
Law enforcement says several people have called claiming to be shooter from Cascade Mall.
This probably happens all the time in these high-profile incidents, but it's rare for the police to release this kind of information.
There are too many unanswered questions out there to do much more than speculate, but a few of us who were on here late last night listening to the police scanner noticed that there seemed to be a lack of urgency on the part of the police when it came to searching for the perpetrator. That led us to speculate that they had a good idea what the motive was, and that they didn't consider the guy an ongoing threat.
