Active shooter at large
There's a lot of room between his shoulders and knees, especially if it's broken down and the stock is cut down a bit, it needed. He goes into a restroom, reassembles it, and bingo, he comes out with a rifle.
It is possible
Yes they wear what they want and the women still wear burlap bags.
There are reports that he entered the mall without the rifle, but then had it when he entered Macy’s.
One reason why the left/media may want him to be hispanic instead of muslim, is with a hispanic, there won’t be the issue of ISIS in their minds. They can just go to gun control.
I’ve seen Muslim men in shorts and T-shirts accompanied by their wives in full veil.
Thanks for pics. .this is crazy.
Also, we’d heard (rumor) he’d said/yelled a name during the shooting. But we haven’t heard from eyewitnesses yet. Normally there’s one being interviewed by media...
Does this mall have cameras outside? Most do. They can see him coming in and out, you would think.
We need to know who the victims were. If they were Hispanic, then it was likely a crime of passion or it was gang related. If the victims all were white then it is most likely Islamic Terrorism.
Fundamental Muslims believe make-up on a woman is sinful.
I had a job in Saudi Arabia for several years. I know their mentality.
The grout line disappear's and does not extend all the way to his left leg, which would be the case if he was not holding anything in his left hand which, if he was, would visibly cover the grout line. The horizontal grout line mysteriously dissappear's because the rifle that he is holding has been Photoshopped out of the picture and the person who did it forgot to extend the missing grout line all the way to the perp's left leg.
They may have done this to intentionally withhold evidence from the public, or to protect evidence by keeping the make and model of the rifle secret. Whatever the motive it appears the rifle he is carrying in his left hand has been digitally erased.
What I find interesting is that he left his gun on the Macys cosmetics counter. Why would he do that? That gun is traceable. The only explanation is that he does not care if he is caught.
The other issue is that all the victims have their ID with them. No woman goes shopping in a mall without her purse. Therefore, the families and friends all have been notified of the deaths, and yet no identification of the shooter yet. Which could make this into a random shooting.
It will also be interesting ( and I am going to find out) if there is police presence at all the major malls today, which would indicate that the police think this shooter could reappear. I am going to drive by the Tacoma Mall today, so I am going to see if there is police at all the entrances.
Good possibility/match.
At the press conf, I think there was a question which implied they have not notified next of kin yet.
The rumors that he yelled the name of a female during the shooting were posts from twitter. I have followed all the Seattle news stations including facebook posts claiming they talked to people who were in the store or close enough to hear the shots and none of them have said that.
I would suspect from the photographs that they know who this is or have an idea who it is. The pictures are more than adequate for someone to recognize him. The make-up counter seems to be an odd target (more people in other spots of the mall generally) and the employees there are often young and pretty so I think we need to wait and let this develop before we draw big conclusions beyond the fact that this was a cowardly attack that tragically took the lives of 5 people.
Sure, we teach them in prison. The shoebomber was a mixed race terrorist. Then there’s the DC shooters.
You’re right, there’s too much we don’t know yet. I was just struck by there not being any witness interviews in the media.
funny.....I bought the house for my daughter. She was there a short time, fell in love, and moved. I never intended to be stuck with a rental 1200 miles away.
I followed this live from the outset last night and the Washington State Patrol (usually they are pretty direct) were talking to the media long before any other agencies arrive - the investigation is being led by the Skagit County Multi-Agency Response team per this brand new article -

“”Cammock said the suspect walked into the mall apparently unarmed and returned about 10 minutes later with a rifle. A rifle was recovered by police at the scene, he said. He did not disclosed the caliber.””
It appears that speculating about him carrying a firearm in on the screenshots from video is pointless. This makes it seem like he came in to scout his target and then returned to do the shooting.
It also appears there is nothing pointing to terrorism at this point or the FBI would have taken over the investigation. Sad day for many families and Washington.
The reports that he (and whoever else involved) first entered the mall WITHOUT A RIFLE, and the later appears WITH A RIFLE 10 minutes later, seems to me argues that this COULD be terrorism.
Were the women shot all part of the same “group”? I.e. knew each other? Were together in one spot, thus all shot at the same 1 or 2 minute period?
If they do NOT have any relation to each other, this argues it was NOT “revenge” and could be possible terrorism.
No way can terrorism be ruled out at this juncture. In fact, knowing the Indian subcontinent very well, this guy looks more Pakistani to me than Hispanic. This type of terrorist attack by Paki’s in India is typical.
The photo is obviously a photo of a video being played. Why can’t we see the video itself? I bet we the public could be a lot of help if we could see the video instead of this one still image.
