After the same thing happened with the Dallas newspaper, someone speculated that these newspapers are going down the sh!tter anyway, and they’re just going to use this as the excuse for losing all their readers.
There was a clean sweep of the long time writers and editors at the Inquirer. They brought in USA Today types to run a skeleton crew. Most of their content is purchased from the national news services. The daily edition is very small these days. Like a flier for a grocery store. Not very relevant in Cincinnati anymore. Especially in the suburbs and surrounding counties.
