Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency.
[This is] a profoundly sad day for me, he wrote on Facebook. "Disappointment does not begin to describe.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while, the conservative commentator added. "Again, disappointment doesnt even begin to describe my feelings.
Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOPs presidential primary, added he feared for the nations future.
America is an idea, not a country, he said. "When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea. I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing ones comfort and country.
The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die. Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die. Long live the idea of the republic.
Cruz earlier Friday endorsed Trump, a stunning reversal after months spent refusing to back the Republican presidential nominee.
Our country is in crisis, he wrote on Facebook. "Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican presidential nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.
Cruz refrained from endorsing Trump after their at-times heated GOP presidential primary.
Beck was fiercely critical of Trump during their contest, even suggesting in March no real Christian would back the billionaire.
The radio host predicted in May, however, Trump would ultimately defeat Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee.
Someone please post the picture of him with his face buried in the Cheetos. I was just thinking of that picture today. I need it! :)
America is an idea, not a country? That has been a bs neocons keep peddling
The sadder Beck gets, the happier I get.
Go Trump!

YIPPEE! Cause for a Friday evening celebration. LOL
Can’t believe he said that, what an opening!
Oh, shut up, ya nutball.
Not you, hon, Glenn Beck.
My weekend is off to a great start!
How about yours?
Beck has a messiah complex. Shouldn't he be heading to the desert?
Maybe he’ll get lost in Miller’s Cave.
He wasn’t the only loon who thought Cruz could be President even though he was born in a foreign country with a foreign national father and only American on his mother’s side.
And then there is Jindal and Rubio, also not eligible.
"Et tu, Cruzé?"
What a babbling lunatic.
He’s going up the mountain like Moses.
Yes, great weekend planned.
Hey, I wonder if Beck still thinks Ted is George Washington and does he want his stuff back? :-)
>America is an idea, not a country? That has been a bs neocons keep peddling
I believed this when I was 12. I eventually grew up.
Beck always thought he could see the future but he never saw this coming. Beck anything can happen and it just did. Cruz saved his own butt and left Beck, Pat and Stu holding the bag.
Yes Stabby, you should go to the mountains for a long, long time.
Maybe build a little cabin up there, shoot some game, take lots of walks.
Yeah, that’s the ticket. We can call you if we need your opinion on anything.
Grow up Beck. You are making a “mountain” out of a molehill.
Change your meds...they’re not working for you any longer.
“Maybe hell get lost in Millers Cave.”
Yeah! Love it. :)
