I no longer see a reason to give my time, attention, money or anything else to organziations that excercise PC double standards with regard to free speech. Goodbye NFL and MLB. And good riddance.
With your screen name perhaps you should wait until the end of the baseball postseason before starting your boycott? At least wait until the Cubs are out of it.
I feel you. I don’t buy stuff, don’t watch their channels, don’t use their apps. I remain, however, addicted to between the white lines. What Seattle did to the catcher, what ESPN did to Schilling, the NFL support of Kaepernick, it makes them reprehensible. But the games, the competition for three hours, soooo good.
Not watching the NFL has come effortlessly. Players celebrating like their won the SB after nearly every play, in-your-face lib politics and political correctness and double standards, Oct. pretty-in-pink month, and the whole cult-like atmosphere surrounding the game these days finally took its toll.
Proudly boycotting all sports since 1992, and have never looked back once (not one down, inning, play of anything) - I have 100s of better things to do.
I cannot even tell you what the team names are and what places they are supposed to be from.
I don’t “do” sports, so “boycott” isn’t possible. Screw ‘em.
It is a shame you that you are taking this course, especially, if I understand your screen name, when the Cubs potentially could end their century of futility this year. I believe that the game of baseball is so much better than the people who run it, or even play it. But it is frustrating that liberals and political correctness muck up everything good, wholesome and traditional. (muck is a euphemism here). Before your go off all half cocked, I would be willing to give you dispensation this year, and allow you to take out your anger in a year when the Cubs are mediocre (which is pretty much 95% of the time).
not watching them either, nor buying any of their expensive crap.
No reason to line the pockets of these multi- millionaires who shout how they have been oppressed.
No more NFL or MLB in my home!
Screw these PC morons!
No more NFL in this home!
I used to watch professional sports when I was young, but some years ago I grew out of the habit. I really haven’t watched any sporting event all the way through in years. I have not watched the Superbowl in at least 15 years - and I don’t miss any of it one bit.
The NFL has become so BORING.
The behavior of a few thug players makes it so much easier to ignore. I may watch the Super Bowl and a playoff game or two but that’s about it.
MLB: Steve Clevenger suspended for Charlotte protest tweets
I don't watch baseball anyway, but I have stopped watching the NFL.
Glad to see I’m not alone. I like football season, since the gym isn’t very crowded during games. Why watch other men get exercise when I can get some exercise myself?
I feel better and look better when I exercise regularly.
This is a front row seat to what the government would do with hate speech laws.
I hope this really hurts their pocketbook.
Sort of lost my admiration for people playing games for money after my time in Vietnam.
As the Aussies say, “Good on ya.”
Folks have figures out they can bully people for expressing the wrong sort of views. Hear the other day that some campus snowflake got his panties in a twist because of a picture of football players wearing sombreros.
I imagine hell flip his lid about whites eating authentic Mexican food next.
wow you all just made me
delete SI and NFL.com off my favorites
we lived in the middle of no where and order NFL next day.....at 70 dollars a year....not this year. that will hurt a little.
bastards take all my retirement fun away...ooo well they did move to MO then I moved to Mo ....then they moved back to LA...not moving back
The Beautiful People Division, which serves a similar purpose (occasionally sans the violence) is currently headed by some Armenian American Princess named Kim Kardashian. She is known for the substantial size of her gluteus maximus muscles, so large they have been assigned their own zip code and are believed to have an independent weather system. As is the case with the Heavyweight Division, watching and reading about the comings and goings of the members of this division is also believed to enhance the lives of the average citizen.
In the early days of the American Republic, there was also a Political Division. It was disbanded due to loss of interest after the election of progressive hero Woodrow Wilson, father of the One World forerunner of the beloved United Nations, the League of Nations, the Federal Reserve and drumroll, please THE INCOME TAX!
In that vein, a wag once lamented the numbers of citizens (and I use the term VERY loosely) who take no interest in politics by correctly remarking You may not be interested in politics but, trust me when I say that POLITICS HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN YOU!' That's a variation of a comment by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. who also correctly opined in 1884 ...as life is action and passion, it is required of a man that he should share the passion and action of his time at peril of being judged not to have lived.

Not a problem. I gave up on collegiate and professional sports decades ago. Both cost too much and offer too little to both me and society. Both have produced misplaced importance for us all.
