Retired police officer sets CNN panel straight on Tulsa shooting

Amid a climate of confusion and anger, retired police officer Jeff Roorda lent his pro-police perspective to CNN’s analysis of the shooting of Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

While video footage shows Crutcher with his hands up only seconds before Officer Betty Shelby fired the fatal shot, Roorda cautioned against rushing to condemn the officer, particularly given what already is known about the suspect.

“Let’s wait for all the information before we reach some judgment,” Roorda told host Don Lemon during a Tuesday appearance on CNN Tonight. “And I think what we know so far is that this gentleman did not have his hands up when the officer shot him. We know that he was very likely under the influence of a controlled substance.”

In case developments on Thursday, the officer was charged with first-degree manslaughter.

District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler filed the charges Shelby, 42, and her lawyer was arranging for her to surrender.

Lemon noted that until autopsy results are released, it won’t be known if Crutcher was under the influence, but Roorda warned against drawing hasty conclusions anyway.

“We’re fine with rushing to judgment on the police officer, but we don’t want to rush to judgment on the suspect,” Roorda chided. “But they did find PCP in his car.”

I have a special affinity for Tulsa. It was the destination of my first air flight in 1974. I was on pins and needles the whole flight. Now, I think nothing of boarding a plane but hate the long search lines. Won’t be flying much any more, however

Easy. Carolina is a swing state, OK is not

This is all just electoral posturing. The $oro$ “donations” and the high percentage of out of state ghetto/white trash agitators tells us this has nothing to do with any black life mattering.

If it did, they’d stop shooting each other. They don’t . . . and they won’t.

Politics 101

The MSMLSD people have to go all hysterical before all the facts are in to gain viewership over the other outlets and the more hysterical lying they can do the better. Then the truth will be a two second segment near the end of a broadcast or buried on page thirty two in the stock market section.

Anyway, from what appears to be a wrongful shoot, I just have to ask, is there any rioting in Tulsa? From what appears to be a lawful shoot in Charlotte, we see a 3rd night of out of state agitators causing problems and committing various crimes in "protest". Were there no buses to Tulsa or something?

Clinton has no chance of winning Oklahoma's electoral votes.

But, she can't afford to lose North Carolina.

Yes, it's a really cynical view. But, these protests are largely orchestrated by outside parties, and they aren't doing it for the entertainment value.

Cops are trained to NEVER let a suspect who is resisting arrest return to his vehicle dumbass.

The riots in Charlotte are a part of the Clinton GOTV.

The Clinton Get Out the Vote Campaign. I like it.

As another Freeper astutely pointed out yesterday ...

There is already plenty of evidence to indict the police officer in this case. The question will be: Is there sufficient evidence to convict her?

I have rendered no judgment on this case, since (as usual) I don't have anything close to all of the facts at my disposal.

“He who hesitates dies on the side of the interstate drowning in his own blood.”

He had no gun.

His hands were up.

He had been tased.

He could not have reached into the car as the window was closed.

"Bottom line; If he had listened to her, he would be alive."

He was unarmed and was not charging her.

What else do you need to know? What else could possibly be relevant?

The video STARTS OUT with the officer having a drawn weapon on the suspect and him walking away. The chopper pilot asys, “Well he has his hands up for her now.”

The 2 blacks that refuse to acknowledge that something may have happened before the camera started rolling are idiots and are doing no favors to their race.

Why is his hands already up when the film starts?
Why is the officer on the passenger side of the car with her gun drawn?

LOL. In the 70s I worked in Denver and a buddy went to Oklahoma on vacation. When he came back I asked why the heck he went there. He said girls in Oklahoma will do ANYTHING to get out of Oklahoma. LOL.

She may have thought she would be the heroine, but possibly is the goat now.

There wasn’t even enough time to let the tazee crumple before shooting... why bother with a tazer if it isn’t even going to mean anything?

I can't imagine the Clinton campaign is happy about what is unfolding in Charlotte. This kind of thing will drive a "throw the bums out" mentality among voters faster than $10/gallon gasoline will.

Missouri used to be considered a swing state. After 1996 it has been solidly Republican in presidential elections, and I'm sure a Ferguson incident doesn't do anything to push it back the other way.

Something else to keep in mind is that one reason North Carolina has changed from "red" to a "tossup" state over the years is that it has seen an influx of migrants from the Northeast. These people may be liberals to the core, but when it comes to crime and personal safety they make Pat Buchanan and Lt. Col. Allan West look like a couple of flaming radical Marxist hippies. See Giuliani, Rudy as Exhibit A on this one.

Maybe so. But if you don’t obey the cop’s orders you take a chance with your life. Any stupid fool knows that.
