Mayor Emanuel is on the right track here.

Parents, or lack thereof, are the source of the problem. Sure, there are extenuating circumstances where correct parenting is impossible, but in the main Mom and Dad who care and make the daily effort are what Johnny needs most.

He is correct on role models as well. Who’s a better role model - Colon Kaepernick or Tim Tebow? The answer is obvious.

LOL. Yeah Mayor....I’m sure they’ll suddenly start being better parents ‘cause you asked ‘em to.

The real way to get people to straighten up is to yank their benefits. But that will never happen unless there is a total societal collapse.

“The government is not providing people the very basic needs that you have in a free society,” former Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said.

Here is the root of bass-ackwards thinking of the left.

In a free society, government does not provide basic needs, it provides national security from invasion and some basic infrastructure.

"If neighborhoods aren't getting financial support, getting investment, then there's no hope," said Matt McGill, WVON-AM radio talk show host.

What does that mean exactly?

"The government is not providing people the very basic needs that you have in a free society," former Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said.

How do they square a free society with the expectation of the government providing things?

"There's significance in making sure that our kids have the right kinds of role models and values in their lives so that they can make decisions today that will impact their lives in an appropriate, positive way," Emanuel said.

As long as the government plays the role of the father, you're just pissing up a rope, Rahm.

'Course, Rahm probably makes love to the rope.

Rahm is going to lecture blacks on raising their kids? LMAO What a fool. It’s liberal policies that rotted the black inner city families and he’s going to lecture them?

It doesn’t matter how anyone defines the problem — the solution is always the same: gimme mo money.

I would support reduced government support for each additional child after the first one. Children are not a source of income. Parents are responsible for their children. I am not responsible for their children.

Democrats always try to convince people that Rahm is a real bad-ass. Let’s see it (snicker).

Some black community leaders ...said City Hall should focus on economic development in the African-American community.

Translation: give us more money.
